In ESO you can make a nightblade or necromancer healer, you can make a cute Warden tank, you can make a sneaky Templar.
It’s a zinemax game

Oh my sweet summer child.
“I will heal you in exchange for your SOUL.”
What’s an egirl/eboy? Is that a Dracthyr thing?
I’m still trying to figure this term out. Is it like an e-cigarette? Do you plug an eboy up via USB? Is it a virtual game boy? What is it?
Not seeing any “tropes” about tanks in the game. My little mouse here tanks just fine while dual-wielding his shaman axes.
Never change Shreds
But D.Va is a gremlin
See you get it
She not really Dark, more borderline eccentric. Not crazy like Prof. Farnsworth, or Harley Quinn. But Isle of Dr. Monroe level. Their calm, cool collectiviness is what makes them feel dark.
Whimsically unsettling would be more fun.
I’m still waiting on a Tinker Class, so I can be a Goblin/Gnome who tanks in a Mech suit. That’s something very unique to WarCraft that breaks the traditional tank trope, and we’ve been seeing NPCs do it for over 20 years now!
For me, it’s not about being Cute, or Dark. It’s about doing something that actually feels unique.
How many RPG’s have a class where you Stomp around in a Mech, next to other traditional RPG classes like Mages and Warriors?
Warcraft could, because Warcraft is awesome and has a universe that allows for that kind of stuff. We just don’t have a Tinker class yet.
I’m not sure I understand the topic. Is this about the theme of the spec or the toolkit / play style?
The reason i bring this up is becausewe hear this argument that adding more tanks to the game won’t increase the amount of tanks this is false The problem is WoW keeps adding the same type of tank.
How are paladins and death knights the same?
Warrior is a juggernaut tactics and the typical midevil warrior.
Death knight is a death metal blood and soul draining arbiter of death a revenant.
DH are the brooding agile and fast strikers that use demon magic and runes to subdue enemies.
How is this “the same athstetic”???
Warriors rush and leap in
Plate battle worn
DK flows in like a creeping mist of death
Plate inscribed by death runes and morbidity
DH viper strike.
Minimal light armor for speed.
There’s nothing athletically the same other then they tank.
Diva psh play a Guardian druid. Rush like a warrior shoot beams
Or a Brewmaster roll and throw kegs.
Each tank is athletically different in lore and ability. You speak nonsense.
You talking about wanting cute tank…that only makes me thing of a literal care bear shooting rainbows at enemies… Lol
Just described 3 edgy vanguard type characters 3 times then asked how are they the same.
This is like someone asking for a different top tank in league of legends.
Then you saying what do you mean we have Garen, Darius and Sion.
3 edge boys
Repeating “they are the same!” does not actually make them the same. If they are the same, you should be able to explain your stance without just repeating yourself and/or bringing up entirely unrelated games.
I think you use to be able to at least for bit on an Outlaw I think during BFA from what I remember, not as good as a normal tank class of though. Not to sure how they are now I know they had changed things with them, especially now with new talent trees.
I Already did but i can’t explain common sense.
Varian, Garrosh and Greymane clearly different characters but the asthetics they give off is virtually and literally the same compared to let’s say Lorthermar or Maya who are also warriors.
The tank asthetic options in world of warcraft are all the same with the only outlier being brewmaster
Fixed, since thats what this whole topic is trying to be sneaky about.
So you have no actual argument. Pretty much what I thought, but thank you for confirming.
