I prefer playing classic era with fixes to what is still a broken game in many ways. Next on my list is Debuf Limit and repairing Meme Spec Talent Trees so they’re viable. Followed by adjusting Raid Boss and Trash HP proportionally. I’ve got other suggestions but I’ll let you continue to squirm with what you have for now. I’ve been here since Beta Vanilla so I’ve seen the game go through quite a bit of repairs and it is nowhere near done.

I like how you keep calling people out for trivial personal things while blatantly ignoring the big picture of how changes to Era will matter to you and others in the future. Your thought process starts and stops with you liking that MoS got put into the game. That changes may come that you really dislike in the future goes over your head.
There’s no point in replying to you again because you just ignore everything and then throw out strawmen. In all of your posts on here have you given a real reply to anyone?

yeah i hate layers, how ever now that we have had layers im happy to see changes that i like and yes im sure there will be changes in the future i dont like.
What’s crazy is you had that with SoM and it was universally panned and dropped. You literally had it in your hands and nobody played it. Now that era started directly competing with SoD they had to make people ditch era or it would reflect poorly on them.

SOM was awesome the people not so much. Its failure had nothing to do with what you’re suggesting and entirely to do with how Hardcore you had to be. The limited time combined with the increased difficulty made everybody very cut throat. You probably wouldn’t have liked it very much. If you’ve used the phrase “Gate Keeper” as a derogatory phrase SOM certainly wasn’t for you.
Lets not pretend that SoM was hard when all it did was add more hp to bosses and remove wbuffs. And removed debuff cap. And gave meme specs more avenues to perform. We’re chasing an imaginary audience here when it’s been proven it doesn’t exist.
There was a new mechanic for every boss. Which meant anybody who hadn’t at least done every boss before, was really lost. Your statement again confirms you weren’t there.

You give the Classic Era Community too much credit. The current skill level outside of your high end guilds is complete trash. Bunch of scrubs that bought their gear running around out there now. Things like downloading addons for decursing, speccing properly, and getting hit capped is just too much to ask for a large % of the population. 3/4 of the population wouldn’t have survived Vanilla let alone SOM.
I’m happy with it as is. Opinions and all that jazz…
If you want “some changes” advocate for a server like that. It’s unfair to ignore those who want the original version. It sucks to be forced to Pservers when we were told that this is a “museum piece” .

The way blizz treats gold buyers is just like the IRS. They only look at and care for the big buyers. The one’s buying 1-3 gold caps worth of gold in a single purchase for that naxx gdkp that night for their gressil.
They dont care if people buy 5-10k a week or a month.
Anything new has gate keepers.
SoD had them from the very start with BFD and now they made a paid addon called archon. Which is like a sheet similar to raider io on retail only more detailed into your characters clears, achievements and active parses for the week.
Era still has legacy gate keeping in the form of strict epgps and on whitemane 90% of the cluster is gdkps so if you dont have the gold or the ability to carry you’ll get declined raid spots… even though skill can outweigh gear in most scenarios on Era… I’ve proven that against other healers or mages who out geared me in naxx pugs lol
So yes gate keeping is very real and still exists

I look in the mirror and I say to myself ‘‘chain heal de zug zugs, Duckling, they be needin’ ya in dis time of strife, mon’'.
When I lose me zugs, its game over, but for now we continue. That’s the real power of finding a guild full of friends, even when you want to quit the game can still be fun and worth logging into.
So, go forth and find a guild to raid with. Or pvp with. Or RP with. Or ERP with?

Only characters I post on are xfour and sa.
I never supported RMT, I think all people who buy and sell gold should have their account perma banned.
WoW token is exact same thing as RMT, i don’t care who the payment goes to, using $ to buy wow gold is destructive of immersion.
If after reading these threads for the 6 months it still isn’t clear why some people would prefer GDKPs over SR / LC (especially for content on farm like Era), then enjoy living in your reality.

In just a few months they ended classic by not letting us stay at Wotlk, they killed the SoD server I was very active on, and started pushing changes on era just as I came back to it after losing the other two versions of the game I was playing. Not feeling very happy to say the least. Haven’t logged in in days now despite the itch. Its all just too much disappointment in too short a time span.

One guild 600+ /disbanded because of this. The other with 315 all quit because of this. Keep playing? Me? With who? I have no one to play with no. No one. This just killed Classic. Not just the guild UI but other things as well. Blizz forgets why we asked for Classic in the first place. To get what we lost…and…we lost it again.
Both guilds I was in, gone for good because of this.
I logged in, had my friend whisper to me in game. Told me to find him in Discord, then told me where to go from there. So…do I keep playing alone by myself with no one? Or do I play with my friends where they new all continue to play. I’ll do that.
