Original Era players, are you quitting?

lmaooo

Man. I never figured your Blue identities.
I was just thinking the other day about posters I missed. Like this one.

I never made a secret of it but its been awhile since I bothered posting on her. I switched to her one day to prove to Classic WoW AV cave whiners on the forums I played ally AV since I was always accused of horde bias. I stuck with it for awhile because I was calling posers out in game while doing AV with them and wanted them to see the same toon calling them out in their whine threads.

I have screenshots of people thanking me for keeping Era alive for them until the reinforcements showed up. I promised them if they stuck with me I would bring the players back. They thanked me when they did. Probably my best memory from Era. LFG was never boring or quiet during the dark TBC days when I was playing, lol. Then I went back to being a nobody lol.

All Hail Hatestrike, Vice Warchief of the Horde!

OMG guys… CORPSE KNIFE is quitting…

WHOSE WITH US.

when I hit my guild UI button it looks different and my 35 year old brain can’t handle it. So I’m gonna yell “RETAIL” and quit.

Except not really because I’m addicted and can’t stop!

Its literally the retail UI.

Era players play Era so they dont have to look at or be reminded of a game they loathe.

There were other changes (this is like the fourth round of SoD integration) that makes it a completely different game than it was before Tuesday.

Era players are now playing on an official Blizz private server. There are now private servers that are more “blizzlike vanilla” than the official version.

Its a bad joke, much like you.

I loathe retail because the game play sucks and its p2w, not because a screen looks different.

Imagine getting mad at a game because data is sorted differently… KEKW.

Absolute child.

Good, then go there. Except you wont, because youre addicted, and youll be here in 8 months after another $120 in sub fees claiming era and blizzard suck, but youll keep paying wont you boy.

Yeah, keep paying that sub fee and crying :moneybag: :pig::moneybag: :pig::moneybag: :pig::moneybag: :pig::moneybag: :pig:

The only children here are anyone who gets offended by someone who doesn’t like game changes as is their inherent right and fights with them over opinions which are all equal.

Like, its perfectly fine. Some people are quitting Era because they can.

People who quit are not addicted. Its the people who stay as the game changes every few months. Lets not get it twisted.

I’m very invested in Classic Era. I have at least one 60 of each class Horde side and I’m leveling a paladin and warrior Alliance side. I plan to eventually get full BiS on every class.

I don’t want to see any changes. There’s not a single change they could make that would improve the game. They need to just leave it alone.

That said, there are only a handful of changes that would make me seriously consider quitting.

  1. Introducing new class abilities.
  2. Introducing new gear especially gear which makes current BiS no longer BiS.
  3. Introducing the WoW token or any other form of pay to win.

Of those possibilities the most likely I would say is the WoW token. I don’t think they’ll ever introduce any new content into Classic Era especially since they already have a place to do that.

But you arent quitting lol. Youll be back. I know this game, i know its players.

Youll be here in a few months crying about the next update about whatever change is made.

etc etc.

I feel like this is all super fair.

The “changes” they have made have essentially 0 impact on era, you can run your little naxxramas for the 900th time with 0 difference… other than its significantly less annoying to play alliance now.

0 game play change.

Your #1 point is why druids using polearms worries me so much. That IS a class tuning change. Right now, it means nothing, and it doesn’t ‘‘affect immediate gameplay’’, but its a solid and defined class tune on Era servers. If the laziness to fix SoD leak continues through time to things they don’t see as problematic for Era, it could easily lead to some ultra neckbeards finding an exploit (lets not pretend they aren’t there).

Eh TSLA down 8% yesterday, not happy about that. Hoping for a bounceback today.

That made me smile a little. +1 for you. You take care now.

I only noticed this due to another reply because I’ve had you on ignore for some time now, in part because of hyperbole such as this.

Any sane and logical person would know that this isn’t what I want for this game. I don’t even want the changes we have and make no mistake, I’m not happy about them. However, the changes we have here don’t impact my enjoyment of the game and so I can tolerate them. A token and RDF (presumably what you meant) would though, and that would probably be my own line in the sand… as they were in WotLK which is the reason I stopped playing that game.

Maybe your break will improve your ability to actually read and comprehend what people are saying instead of skimming it, jumping to your own conclusions, and twisting words to support your warped ideas of logic. Maybe then we won’t have to be at odds all the time.

Either way, while I’m not sad to see you go, I genuinely wish you the best and hope that your time away is a positive experience for you.
