Pretty much the opposite of what he’s complaining about, actually accomplish something impressive. Since he’s not capable of actually doing anything he wants to talk with anonymity and pretend he is. Thus he doesn’t have haters.
On the other hand, there is definitely a portion of the forum population who try to use armory as a prop for their own weak arguments. If you’re not cutting edge from BEFORE the nerfs, 2200 IO AND PVP ranked, and also have been here since Vanilla then you’re not qualified to discuss world quest rewards, regardless how “or especially when,” correct your actual points are.
Both sides are trolls but I’m not sure how to combat them both at once since Blizzard refuses to actually police their own forums. I have had so many silences overturned on these forums it’s not even funny.
This is my forum toon. Has been since Vanila. He was only my main during TBC and BFA but that never changed.
And this is why classic toons shouldn’t be able to post on retail forums and visa versa.
I mostly used this one. Although I had a few gaps of time where I was on my worgen hunter or demon hunter. This was back when Rosenivy was a girl. So I guess being on male toons for the forums got me to feel a little more comfortable with being FtM. Yeah it’s dumb I know but eh sometimes that’s just something that happens.
Thankfully Blood Elves got better facial hair and no more real money for gender changes. Fixed that problem right up
That is true. If it’s the other reason it still holds.
I opened the thread expecting nothing.
Seeing a certain person in here made my day though.
Anyway, don’t be a scumbag you don’t have to worry.
FTM?

I have no problems in all this I forget names as I forget numbers ,I don’t know why I do that.
naaa, people spam their own post and like and comment on their own post with their account on different toons. Not right, and for that reason they shouldn’t hide it. Clowns deserve to be seen.
They should ban people who like their own threads on multiple alts and do something about mass flagging from one person. I doubt it though.
Liking is not as bad as ppl who mass flag with alts. There could easily be a mechanism in place that recognizes this and auto locks their ability to post on the forums from account wide characters
Does it hold tho?
I think some ppl hide on different accounts for multiple reasons; that aren’t necessarily bad. Now on the forums, meh. Idk tbh. I actually do not like my other accounts posts… do find it comical when u can tell someone is doing it tho, lol. I think my reasons for hiding are probably a lot different then most. Also, I generally get a few day forum vacas for cursing, so I need a throw away account to swap to and I’ll never change
Be nice if they tied flags to trust level, as they do hearts, with TL3 having unlimited flags. And repeated or habitual malicious flags will erode your trust level (which in turn negatively impacts your ability to flag).
They shouldn’t make it easier to hide. If anything they should disable classic alts outside of classic forums. Trolling has gotten exponentially worse since classic alts became a thing.
Besides, if you’re that paranoid about “stalkers” on an anonymous game forum you can just get a new blank battle.net account like certain trolls already do. No way to tie those to your real account unless you have a particular way of typing that gives it away.
Truth. I gotta git gud on that.
in those cases, the trolls are the ones who care too much.
back in TBC, i posted on my “main”, who hadn’t accomplished anything terribly impressive, yet was still constantly called an elitist if i made posts discussing raids/mechanics/pvp etc.
it put me off, and made me stop offering help.
if someone is giving solid information, people should judge them on the quality of the post.
when wrath came along, i created a tauren in a pink dress, with bunny ears.
nobody was able to take this character seriously.
mission accomplished
…but i still get the occasional rage-poster who decides i’m looking down my nose at them, and comes at me with stuff like: “people like you”.
I approve of that idea.
It’s not always “claiming”. I made some posts arguing against the forced PvP in the SL pre-launch event. I wasn’t max level, was leveling at the farm in pandaria and when the first few waves of people pulling the ghouls to Halfill came out, I stupidly shoed it could be done DEPSITE everyone arguing against me said it couldn’t.
The rest of the week, Halfhill on MY server was completely overrun. I was told it’s not happening on any other server. I even had people come into the forums to post “see look it’s me there, on your server killing your and your town so you can’t level”.
So yeah, there is a reason why some people hide. I still don’t, I just tend to post on whoever I consider my main that day. And it does change every few days
I think they should just ban anyone who disagrees with me
I mean those people are toxic. Everyone knows there is only one correct way to think, right?
