Opinions on Alleria Windrunner new Key Art

Haven’t got an answer from that person, but if he’s reading it then I would urge him to also take a look at:

And see for himself the difference between in-game models, concept art for promotional material and how it’s very rarely (I would almost say never) a 1:1 comparison. We can even add more dimensions with how things look different when it comes to trailers, cinematics, and even different channels. E.g. Jaina’s blizzcon promo art looks different to how her in-game depictions. Another one I can think of is Hearthstone art vs WoW art.

You think it’s an amusing idea to take precautions and wear make up for some reason. Like the two wouldn’t ever happen together.

Exactly. I think artist interpretations are great. And they aren’t always going to be how we see them— because we’re not the artist. But it gives a really cool perspective and adds tone and mood to things.

That’s what art does!

Easy peasy. Bail out of this discussion, and check out other topics you prefer. I for one enjoy discussing it. Real feedback from real players. Its interesting to me.

Uh, no, I said it’s an amusing idea that such a practical archer and fighter would spend hours before every battle trying to make her face look more rounded and younger. As in, putting most of her effort into looking youthful when she’s otherwise more the practical sort.

Because if we’re going to be serious here, yes she would wear makeup into battle, but it wouldn’t be to look youthful and cute, it’d be to make her look more fearsome and intimidating, which is a far better tactic on the battlefield and is far more likely for such a practical minded fighter to do.

I mean yeah she wore war paint before, but she might be feeling like just looking good, which happens. Or it might just be the void making it happen. :octopus:

You still have no idea what trolling is, so I’ll explain it for you.

Trolling requires two things:

  1. An intentionally false opinion, belief, or persona being portrayed.
  2. The primary goal of simply getting a rise out of people with that.

If you truly belive this is what either Ashadriel or I have been doing, simply stating opinions that we don’t really believe with the express purpose of causing a stir, then I can only conclude that your level of reading comprehension is near zero.

And if you truly don’t believe that, and are claiming it anyway… then it would suggest you may be in fact be the one doing the trolling.

It really has two be one of the two though, there’s no other possibilities… so, which one is it?

Let’s just remember that this is fantasy, and in fantasy we all look on fleek as we ride into battle. I feel like we (we as in you all, not me) are thinking way too much about all this

Can you show me where I said I hate this topic and didn’t wish to participate?

I’ve been in here, chatting just fine with people and then you come in to troll your own topic and act all high and mighty, telling others where to go and what to do.

You want opinions. I’m giving my opinion. Don’t like it? Too bad.

Trolling is when someone post or comments online to deliberately upset others.

Trolling is when someone posts or comments online to ‘bait’ people, which means deliberately provoking an argument or emotional reaction.

a troll is a person who posts or makes inflammatory, insincere, digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages online or in real life, with the intent of provoking others into displaying emotional responses, or manipulating others’ perception, thus acting as a bully or a provocateur

You came in here to flip out on people. Not to talk about the topic, but to flip out on people, insult them and rage to get reactions. So yes, trolling.

I said you. Not your girlfriend.

Every single time you post, you escalate this situation. You make things worse for your girlfriend. You make her look bad and you make yourself look even worse— all while derailing the topic.

Step back, stop defending what doesn’t need defended and move on. To ignore with you.

Sis dolled herself up, painted her nails, shaved her inner eyebrows and it’s causing more drama than all the WoW villains combined

Oh, I just decided to take a page from your book and not read your post, seeing as you haven’t said anything that I didn’t cover in my original post, including saying that I know its just art in a different style and I’m willing to wait to see what she looks like ingame.

You should just focus on keeping your balance up. Wouldn’t want you falling off your smug podium and hurting yourself.

Then assuming that that artwork is an accurate representation of the new model… I prefer the old model and the old artwork.

Fair enough?

And here I thought we were having a friendly conversation how sad

If it follows the same pattern as other art vs game models, then it won’t look the same.

I haven’t seen any Belf or Helf model look like that in game. I do see her wearing that outfit and the hair, but that’s about it. I think we can safely assume the model itself will still be the Belf/Helf model in game.

But if it’s the outfit and hair you’re not keen on, I get it. I was never a fan of that hairstyle IRL, personally.

No. I didn’t do any of that. You’ve been gaslighting me all day, and I’m done. Is there a way to mute or block a person because I cannot deal with this abuse anymore.

You haven’t been abused or gaslit. Go into your preferences and add me under users. Hope you have a good evening.

Younger? Are we forgetting that elves have effectively eternal youth to a human perspective? Until we timeskip several thousand years into the future, she’s always going to look young. Elves almost always look like amazingly fit twenty-five year olds until we look at the particularly ancient ones. And even then, Tyrande is over 13,000 years old, and barely looks like she’s in her mid-thirties.

To be fair, the artist rendition does make her look like a teenager. I have no issues with that, though. It’s simply the style they were going for with the art.

It could have been a friendly conversation, but alas, you kept trying to pick my post apart my post trying to make arguments that I’d already covered instead of taking the time to read it
