Open Question: An Alternative to Queues?

I would love it if you brought back layering. The game isn’t playable with such long queues.

EDIT: I just wanted to add that we’ve had a number of people miss our raid times even though they queued up two hours before raid started… that’s not how it was back in 2006. Also in 2006 I could afford black lotus and anybody crying about how we’ll have an inflated supply is kidding themselves.

1 layer for level 1-59. Another layer for level 60.

My response would be Yes, if you can implement a system that stops people from layer hoping and abusing it. Also a severe punishment needs to be given to those who find loopholes and abuse it. If those can’t be done then no.

If a solution can’t be found then waive the damn subscription fee cause I don’t play for world of queuecraft.

Yea, gotta love the people complaining about the economy. Black lotus, for example, was not increased to compensate for the 2-4x amount of population compared to Vanilla.

To me, the people who are worried about the economy, are probably the same scum bags exploiting it with bot farms.

More wisdom.

No layering. With layering, Classic becomes more of a worse version of retail, and retail doesn’t need any more help since it’s already the superior version of the game.

3 freakin hour queue on Whitemane at 2 in the freakin afternoon. Freakin turn on freakin layering please.

Are you on a server with an hour+ queue? IF not, it won’t affect you. Thank you.

unless you have 3000 extended afk, not, it really would not, or blizz would have just kicked up the afk timer a few notches.

and they are not going to punt anyone who shows up as afk for a couple minutes unless you think people having buckets and bottles at the pc to use as toilets sounds like a good plan

2-3 hour queues to play vs. layering… Is this a trick question?

Do whatever you have to do to get the queue times down or at least open up free character transfers to any realm that regularly has queues of over an hour so we can decide for ourselves.

I am on Whitemane.

Herod 3K Queue @ 5:30PM ET. Started around 4PM

i’d consider flipping layering back on.

Count me as another vote for layering. I really shouldn’t have to log on at lunch time to make a raid that doesn’t even start until after dinner, sitting in queue the entire time just for the sake of preserving prices on some massively over inflated resource.

To hell with the Lotus market. Crashing it from 200g to a point where everyone can afford to flask for raids without having to farm all week? Oh no, what a travesty that would be.

Sorry to hear you can’t make gold cap at the expense of thousands of other players. That’s rough, buddy.

How about no please. Too many already abused the layering back when, now if it were started back up the layer abuse would be rampant. Too many now know how and what to aim for, and the economies of any layered server would once again go haywire.

Yes, I would want as many layers as you need to add.

And the extra black lotus and thorium/crystals in the market is a POSITIVE bonus. I am all in for that as well. That means more players using flasks and gear.

Campers/botters need to adapt to a free market with offer a bit more on par with demand.

Less Queue, less QQ.

It’s up to 4hrs “Estimated time” which is rarely as quick as it predicts. 5hrs wouldn’t surprise me for a 3k queue.

Id probably worry a lot less about a lotus or flask, which is not needed unless you want to play the peak parsing game (which probably is of no concern to anyone sitting in a 4 hour login queue) and worry more about people being able to get on and play.

Put the layers in, are you kidding me? How is this a hard decision? 2 layers doesn’t hurt a realm. 2-3 time the population which is not even close the experience of Vanilla so people can calm down with that nonsense. You are literally causing people to cancel subscriptions because of this poor planning.
