It’s unbelievable how silly some of you are being. There aren’t enough resources to go around for the population of med-high servers. Layering would actually help that not break the economy. Prices have become inflated massively as of late and an extra influx of resources would certainly not break the economy by making things like potions and nodes more acessible.

Add a layer to every server with more than a 20 mins Q PLEASE.

The circumstances of the last few weeks have led to an unexpected increase in both the numbers of players that have been playing WoW Classic, as well as the length of their play sessions. This has caused some of the most-popular realms to see queues again. While free character moves can act as a relief valve for players who just want to play a particular character regardless of the realm it’s on, that’s not the only tool in our belt.

It is possible to temporarily raise the population cap on a given realm by turning layering back on. While I can only name half-a-dozen realms in this region that really have extended queues right now, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few more realms experience queue growth during this remarkable period we’re living in. So my question for you is this:

• If your realm was experiencing one-hour (or longer) queues during peak play times every day, would you want your realm temporarily increased to two layers, to shorten the queue? How do you think that would change your gameplay experience?

So your solution to a problem you guys 100% created is to make servers inauthentic again and hurt the economy more than you already did because of peoples temporary struggles?

Are you blind? In what aspect is running around Felwood for 2+ hours and seeing 1 Dream foil or paying 400 gold for any flask classic like? I played classic AND multiple private servers, have never seen this before. There are about 200 raiding guilds on my server that are logging, there are enough mats via respawns for about 10% of them.

Invest money in what exactly?

There is a limit on how many concurrent users any MMO can service
in a non instanced fashion, and no amount of money will cure that.
It’s a matter of technological limitations, not financial.

I would say, as long as you are able to group with friends/guild to arrive in the same layer, yea do it on realms that need it.

Its better than a person sitting in a 5 hour queue and not getting to play at all.

No layering please. Kicking people who are afk but taking up a server slot would be more helpful to the queue size.
