Does Earthfury already have queues from the incendius transfers?
Layers would be an excellent idea. Queue times are fracturing the player base more than layering ever did.
Currently on Whitemane, you have large groups controlling Lotus spawns and hording up to 80% of the lotus in the game, artificially driving up prices on a near necessary item that already has a mechanic designed for serving half the population size that we currently have.
Adding layering not only adjusts lotus spawns to meet a gargantuan player base, it makes it significantly more difficult for these groups to control these spawns, which should drive the price down and make lotus more accessible for at least semi-casual guilds.
I genuinely think that RTV spawn increases arenāt going to hurt Arcane Crystal prices much. The market is already so low due to people exploiting the 2-3 nodes you can get in DM East. The additional open world nodes would be a drop in the bucket.
I do see the world bosses being a logistical nightmare with layering, but something I am willing to have worked out and/or live with until the queues die down.
Yes, limited layering would be acceptable to me IF the associated problems mentioned by many were also addressed.
Faction based queueing and faction specific server transfers are the correct answers. Layering is stupid and the people clammering for it are the reason why in 2020 we are trying to play the unmolested version of a 15 year old game. Because Blizzard will cave to QoL complaining instead of doing what is right for the game.
You will obviously also have people who want layering to fix the black lotus availability problem. That is a problem in itself and should be rectified in a different way than implementing layering.
please no PLEASE NO
Do it, and adjust spawn rates for black lotus
#somechanges
Yes please fix Whitemane. Add layers, disable character xfers to full realms, disable character creation on full realms without an existing character. Please fix Whitemane.
Any update on the realms with 9:1 Horde to Alliance and the one or two realms with 9:1 Alliance to Horde ratios? Where there is maybe less than 100 Alliance and 100 Horde on at any given time, respectively.
Heartseeker horde has seen less than a dozen or so levelers trickle inā¦ Sure the same occurrence on Stalagg and Skeramā¦
Yes, I would love to see layering re-introduced in order to mitigate 3-6 hour queues
Itās too late to worry about economy. Itās already screwed by monopolies. Thereās too many people and too few resources, which is why Black Lotus is ridiculously expensive. More Lotus please! Turn those layers back on.
Yes please!
Notice how they donāt ask for ideas or solutions. They treat us like idiots.
This is why they shouldnāt do it.
They control the spawn time for these things. If people start jumping to farm this again they should ban each and every one of them.
@Blizzard: Do not introduce layering if you arenāt going to address things like this first. Allowing people who are just going to abuse the economy for others isnāt fixing a problem itās creating another one.
Unmolested? BGs saw changes, 4x old server pop is a massive change as well. Just sayin
Queues are a terrible thing to what would otherwise be a cohesive, pleasant game. Blizzard needs to invest in vertical scaling despite the horizontal scaling crutch theyāve cheaply pushed on everything.
Thank you so much for asking and considering our feedback.
I would love to see a temporary layering system so we donāt have to abandon the realm weāve been on since name reservation day. I am the GM of a fairly large alliance guild on Whitemane, and the queues have put a huge strain on our tight community. 4-6 hour queues are not tenable for 40-man raiding. But many of us also feel that transferring is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Weād prefer not to leave the community weāve been with since the beginning because our members have ties to the server outside of just the guild.
Iām so pleased to see you guys reaching out about this.
wtf do you care? I couldnt have care less about the incendius queue. I changed due to the alliance over transfering to incendius and making the only 50/50 ratio pvp server to a 80/20 ally favored. Also a problem your lovely blizzard caused on the very first place because of not implementing faction specific queues.
Yes please, layering would be welcome to aid queueing and materials.
Whitemane should not be able to decide how other servers should handle there que issues.
Itās awesome to see Blizzard asking for feedback on the fix for the issue. Before making a decision on how to fix this, please be aware of its impact on crafting resources in the game and also whether this is a viable solution in the longer term as in with the release of AQ gates.
