Open Question: An Alternative to Queues?

i say yes, but only if u address the issues it causes, like black lotus and world bosses for example

Whitemane is actually fairly balanced, as far as faction goes. A faction queue wont help us at this point.

This is literally the only option left, and it’s still a terrible option.
Shame that it’s come to this. Paid transfers should have been capped a month ago to high pop servers. It will disrupt the economy and yet it’s the only option you have to curb these queues. Expect queues to be worse with ZG release. Shame.

Because that’s realistic and a good way to not piss people off

Boot all the EU/SA/Asia players from NA servers.

Turn it back on. This should have been explored weeks ago.

How about upgrading the realms’ quality first so they aren’t complete crap? Game will be literally unplayable in Silithus.

Please put two layers on Sulfuras. We were a server that originally didn’t have hour+ long queues.

What classic server do you play on?

Yes.

Why did you not enable layers already like 1 month ago? When most of the states in America issued lockdowns.

Stop operating so slow, get with the times. You are a global company, make global moves.

And why only 2 layers? 2 won’t solve the queue on Whitemane. Need at least 3-4.

I don’t get all these kids crying about economy lol. Its wow classic, you don’t even need gold. You make more gold than repair bills anyways in raids.

Yes, and I wouldn’t limit it to just two layers, but would deploy layering as needed.

The server populations on the high-population servers are much larger than what the game was designed for. Even if you could get all players into the same world instance at the same time, how would anyone get anything done in the open world? There would be too many other people in the way killing all of the mobs, nabbing all of the herb and ore nodes, etc. That isn’t how the game was meant to be played. Overpopulation is not the classic experience.

If you can implement layering in such a way that people can’t layer hop for farming, avoiding pvp, etc., then great. If not, even layering with its flaws would be better than not being able to play the game at all. I can’t fathom an honest argument against it given the alternative.

Herod… I deal with queues every day.

Can you post on your Herod toon?

Hello

Make a 7 Layer Dip out of Whitemane for all I care.

Yes, a thousand times yes. Never should have turned it off to begin with.

Sorry I’d rather wait a 7 hour queue than have layering on again.
Everyone who says otherwise is a retail lover crybaby

When blizzard launched classic wow they started by making one of the biggest changes they could ever do. Not layering, increased server population. This means that there are less resources per player than there was in vanilla. Layering is something that can bring us back to par. I say do it. I want this not to fix queue issues, but to fix resource issues. While its not the best solution, I think its the solution blizzard is considering right now, and I’m ok with that.

Layer Faerlina please. Also, just double the respawn time for resources so it doesn’t ruin the economy any more. Simple fix. (2x the layers, 2x the amount of time between respawn = same amount of resources available to the economy)

NO layering. We were promised this would not be coming back once it was turned off.
