This is Benediction by the way, the server touted as a great balanced server. Been on Benediction since launch, feels bad man.

Server population caps should have never been increased past the maximum they were in vanilla. The megaservers should be split into smaller ones, the old population caps restored, and with free transfers available between the two for a few months to allow guilds and friend groups to stay together.

Just spent 4 1/2 hours in queue for my internet to go out. I tried to switch to my phone hotspot and that didnât work. I tried the guest wifi network of my neighbor and finally got back online within 3 mins and Iâm kicked all the way back of the line to 3000 in queue with 5 hours ETA. If youre going to have queues that long we are in need of a serious foregiveness window longer than 60 seconds.

I am very confused on how we have gotten here. Vanilla servers had around 4000 playersâŚthen why do classic servers have 8000+? Why are people allowed to transfer to servers that are already full? Why are you allowed to make a new character on a server marked full? I think the solution is easy HARD server player caps. Full means Full!

While free character moves can act as a relief valve for players who just want to play a particular character regardless of the realm itâs on, thatâs not the only tool in our belt.
It would help if you even tried using that tool in your belt. Logging into Arugal as early as 3:30 is an almost 6 hour queue and you have still not turned on free transfers? Iâd love to hear the criteria: 10k+ in queue?
PLEASE do implement layering again. Itâs truly not worth subscribing to a game that has a 1-2 hour queue to play.

Layering is a better solution than Free transfers and/or increase server Caps.
Blizzard just needs to limit the amount of Layers, to prevent people just jumping to layer 1-15 to gather w/e they want or kill a World boss.
This will actually help the game in the long run, till things settle down.

Presently biggest reason the queues are going so high, is we have a lot of people that have been sent home on temp layoffs or part time work from home with reduced hours, and they have a ton of free time and can not go any place.
Normally the entire WoW playerbase is not online every day, all day.
We are at work.
I am at work now, but 100% remotely from home.
I could probably play WoW, but im not going to, be interrupted too much.
But i could technically log in and remain there all day, when i would not normally be able to.

I would absolutely love layers turned on. Speaking from someone playing on Benediction from day 1, a server that had a healthy population but never a major queue, Iâm now forced to deal with a queue of 2-3 hours at prime time.
Iâm not a wow classic purist. I absolutely appreciate when the devs make changes for the betterment of the game. This isnât just about the queue. Black Lotus cost 200g on our server. I know its more on others. Its silly that we donât get to use the tools the game offers due to the existence of an economy built for a server with a fraction of the current population.
Like all changes, layers have cons. We saw them at launch, especially with people exploiting. That said - I believe the pros outweigh the cons. Id rather play a game with layers than wait 3 hours to play one without them.
