That would actually be fine if you could just do the random daily heroic as any dungeon with scaling for the full rewards, of course thatās a functionality RDF actually makes easier. And flies in the face of blizzard pushing H+(+).
I would totally sign up for a random any dungeon as a tank if I could do the daily heroic quest with the H+ satchel as well.
Still not sure why you hate cross realm, why is doing a dungeon same realm with people iāll never see again any different than people cross realm?
Yea I mean thereās many ways to make it work. I still think that it would have been a better option.
I like doing dungeons with random people from my realm where you can sometime find people for your guild or just people to do more content together. I also just like seeing people I can meet again easily. Iām also not in favor of mega servers so yes most people I would meet I have a high chance on a medium server to meet again.
Iām just amazed that so many people want parts of wrath removed and have all sorts of ideas about new things that should be added. Some people have no respect for the integrity of the game.
For me personally, max level dungeons arenāt the issue besides GS gatekeeping when I did h+ the first (maybe second) week in a group with a 4.5k tank bad healer, a 3.9k hunter, a 2k boomkin and me as a 3.2k arms warrior. The only time we actually wiped was when the DPS didnāt target the little dudes that shot missiles out on one of the bosses in VH (I forget names) but I play on a high pop server.
I can only imagine low pop servers. There also needed to be separate difficulty selections instead of just the max level normal or heroic dungeons.
Rdf would be perfect for leveling, and max level regular heroics and maybe start sprinkling in the h+ as lower difficulties becomes older content since they insist on it but can still give it a current reward. I hated M+, probably because paladin healing, while broken, was extremely stressful.
When social interactions in group is like rdf but is server only, itās time to do it.
I never want to have LFR since LFR made the game feel very isolated for me (when I did use it for fun) compared to a guild but thatās a different discussion.
Iāve had to put people on ignore because they kept spamming me with trade windows to open lockboxes. They didnāt even whisper me first, just kept opening trade.
I just took the lockboxes and then put them on ignore. Had one of them asking around my guild while we were in BT for my GM. He found her and rage whispered in broken English to her about me across multiple accounts. If you whisper me to open them Iād tell you no, but if you slap them straight into a trade, then thanks for the free gifts buddy.
I made many third world gold farmers mad that they lost 25ish gold in boxes.
God it was so annoying spawning into org and having my trade window randomly opened and being spam whispered for boxes.
Whispering if they want to do a dungeon is an attenpt to find common interest in doing the dungeon. So your example fails to show any real difference.
The person with that name could have just liked the sound of the word and used it. But you assumed they were interested in the topic from the beginning with just a few social queues. Just as he assumes player X might be interested in doing a dungeon as a tank based on their level, class, and even proximity to said dungeon.
If they were interested in doing a dungeon they would already be listed in the LFG Tool. And previously they would have responded to or posted in the LFG channel.
Someone being a class that can tank/heal and is level appropriate for a dungeon is not a social queue they actually want to run the dungeon for you.
If i want to do the nexus as a lvl 70ish character and i see someone who is also around my level in BT and might be interested in doing nexus but isnt listed asking them based on thise factors has a decent chance of them being interested. Their location is also an important factor.
Oh right everyone in the same zone as a dungeon automatically wants to do that dungeon, I forgot about that. Just like how I forgot every class with a tank/heal spec wants to tank/heal.
The thing you keep forgetting about is this is ASKING if they want to do the dungeon. Not telling them, not auto inviting and demanding they show up, etc. I know having even the simplest of conversations with a stranger scares you, but you want to make it sound like im holding their first born hostage until they do the dungeonā¦
