you the best, thanks!
I used to get on here and promote RDF myself. It always felt at least a 2:1 ratio in favor of RDF in regards to those vocal about RDF. Itâs just the same cope arguments presented from anti every time, with the same rebuttals from pro every time with anti then going off about the most brain dead things, moving goalposts, basing their arguments on things not even real, ie, âmuch spirit of classicâ with whatever that means, and more.
Too many changes to LKC to preserve that âclassic feelâ when I wanted LKC specifically because I hated the 1-60 feel. Even with RDF I ainât coming back. Itâs been gg for a minute.
As many different definitions as the people you ask for sure.
Itâs pretty sad to see the mental gymnastics from some on here for sure. Constant ad hominem and whataboutisms.
I already cancelled mine due to the WoW Token. Less so itâs inclusion and more so that it showed me that Blizzard is still tone deaf to their players. I get this is a business move, but you can still choose to not be shady. RDF might push me to come back but the only thing I really want to do prior to quitting is kill Yogg HM as I didnât in the past.
I ainât even that mad about the token but I am very jaded that now with its release, they are going and fixing BT.
I may not agree with how secretive blizzard is with their bans, and wouldnât mind seeing an R6 battle eye strategy, like a server only chat as a third default chat box and the only thing posted in it is the server announcing a ban or suspension, the account name, why, and how long. Show us that bots are being banned. Not this wave bs, but consistently are getting the zucc, but thatâs a different issue for a different time.
The fact remains though that they are only just now addressing BT and itâs right after the token? Bruh, like yeah fix the game but do they need a financial motive every single time to fix their own IP? Gross
I think for all features youâll meet a pleatora of point of views. Itâs not just about the âClassic spiritâ but about what people want and care. As soon as you ask people for opinions you should be ready to get a multitudes, thinking thereâs only 2 (or even 1) point of view is not an healthy way to see the world.
Then it shouldnât be used as a means of argument against RDF, but it was, and no anti RDF cared that the argument made no sense and had no meaning, they all flocked to it as another âdefenseâ against RDF.
Which just goes to show that anti RDF players are disconnected with the game and player base.
Itâs used as a way to explain a multitude of values that people share.
The Classic spirit might be a mix of nostalagia and of people wanting the game to feel more pure or social in certain ways.
Itâs like the no changes movement. People would like some changes, but itâs way easier to be against them all because you might not like some.
In other words, inconsistent and meaningless.
Thatâs about the general same feelings I have. Sad part is the token cannot in reality compete with illicit sales as a fact.
Oh yeah, seeing them take visible action currently now that they have more skin in the game via the token is a bad look. I want them to deal with bots, but not at the expense of the player.
Skeezy as all hell for sure. Any good image they could get for their current action is invalidated in the eyes of many by adding the token first.
Which most anti-RDF seem to be more than willing to offer in their opinions. âI dislike it, I prefer LFGâ is a great rebuttal to people on the pro side as itâs basic, non-insulting, and honest. So far none of the vocal anti-RDF posters have chosen this route and are entirely entrenched in intellectual dishonesty and rely on logical fallacies.
For you, what people care about is meaningful for them.
And itâs fine to not share the same values.
But it doesnât mean itâs meaningless.
Irrelevant in regards to discussion about RDF. Thatâs the point Iâm making. What someone values is what they value but that subjective value does not replace or even equal objective value.
Any time we have mentioned that liking or disliking rdf comes down to personal preference in game design the pro rdf people have essentially said âwell i donât like your opinion so your opinion doesnt matter and should be ignoredâ
And then proceed to try and bully and harrass anti rdf people into silence.
âŚ
The Classic spirit is giving us the game as it was back then. For Wrath, that includes RDF.
Itâs not about replacing and both have objectives value. And in this case itâs a group value vs personal value. The main point of RDF is selfish, itâs to be able to queue at any times. But adding RDF is reducing your social interactions with players in the world and on your server. Itâs removing friction and making it easier to solo play.
I think thatâs fair.
When icc is out sure.
Imagine getting your way and still pretending to be a victim by blatantly ignoring the vile spewed from anti RDF players as well.
It makes sense why you have to post on a forum alt, youâre so unlikable you have to wear a mask over your mask.
Have fun with your community though, Iâm sure youâre having a great time with your friends who were going to replace you at the drop of a pen.
Muh community lmao
Iâve had this discussion with you prior and accepted your answer when formatted as such. Usually you like to add an eyeroll and some attempt at a dig.
You also come into perfectly calm discussion to make intentionally inflamitory jabs at the pro side, often with zero provication.
You are very much not the victim you want to make yourself out to be one, just as the other vocal posters on your end choose to do often. Try being intellectually honest in your discussions and not relying on sarcasm or insults.
Solid rebuttal lmao.
âwhaaa I got what I wanted but others didnât and theyâre being mean to me when I gloat about it!â
If Blizzard had told us this from the start, there wouldnât have been a year of forum drama.
Yea also if they had told us from the start that they wouldnât put the token in. The evil guy is Blizzard guys, not other people xd
yeah everyone loves being strung along for a year! Wonder why people are annoyed?
