The more time passes the harder it will be to gain rating. That’s the design of the system we have, and it’s not changing.
Complete nonsense.
Yeah it’s a mess, only advice I can give you is to watch your mmr, your hidden rating.
If you play with someone that is 1000 rating under you, you’ll barely get any rating.
If you play with 1 person to 1400, you’ll get like 92-96 rating per win to 1200-1300, then bit less, but still easily reach 1400.
Looks like you ruined your mmr here, and will have hard time reaching 1400 without a big grind.
You are at 221 Ilevel and 1372 rating and you trying to say it was skill LOL as the most OP class in 2s?
Perfect example of these types of people. Imagine being this naive.
If you look closer at the video, you’ll see the druid I played with was almost 1300… yet I only got 19 rating… so what you’re saying is that I need to find someone who is 1800 or so, and get them to boost me… well no thanks, I refuse to support anyone selling carries, because that’s part of what is ruining this whole game and not just arena… so I’ll stick to my M+, which is even more deterministic than it was, now that Valor is back in the game…
Doesn’t matter, if you were 1100 when u started, and he 0, then you killed your mmr, even if you equalized your ratings now.
That’s what I did on one char, got to 1050, then queued with someone with 0 rating, and at 1200 I was barely getting any rating.
Otherwise I plow through 1600 or so with no issues, getting minimum of 20 per win when playing with just 1 person through and through.
Classic Ashran was my favorate of all in WoW.
I’m staying out of arenas this expansion. I got my scout title. RBGs are the way to go
your team mmr is 1209 and the enemy team is 1190. youre gaining the right amount of rating for your current cr relative to the mmr youre playing at
to get to that low of a mmr you tanked a lot
you’re legitimately going to need to get your mmr back up a lot higher than your cr if you want to make significant progress, and a good way to have a high mmr and in consequence face a team at higher mmr is to win multiple games in a row. if you consistently lose against higher mmr teams then your points are what they should be
if you download the addon REflex you’ll be able to see your mmr progression
PVP is super weird now. I know a few people that got 2100 in rbgs then got drunk or played with a friends group w/e and they tanked some rating.
Now they are stuck at like 2030 rating and have to grind again but then get matched up with rank 1 boosters, ect so you get stuck at that rating.
Really bad system for numerous reasons. it doesn’t even incentivize you to play with your friends once you get that rating you basically have to sit there because it takes forever to upgrade gear and if you lose rating now you have to grind again.
I do miss legion pvp. Templates were pretty good for casual play. All blizzard had to do was let us pick our secondary stats. Arena has a snowball effect. Any conquest gear should give the max illvl pvp scaling. Arena should be more about skill.
I got that rating when I was 200 ilvl. Please stop making assumptions it’s not an intelligent thing to do. I get that you want to blame everything other than your skill so you can feel good about yourself. But please don’t try to push that way on other people .
Also prot isn’t the most OP spec in the game. I would suggest doing some research before spouting such nonsense
yep this system is awful you got 19 rating per win and 19 per lose, plus facing 220 boosters in 1200 = stuckin forever in 1200-1300
Every season.
If you’re getting 19 points at that rating it’s because that’s the level you play at.
beats team rated 50 points above me, +12 increase
Loses to team 7 points below me, -17 decrease
I faced a team where everyone was 2400 with one guy around 1800(likely being carried). We were at like 2080 MMR and somehow theirs was the same even though we obviously got crushed by their 233 weapons.
Makes no sense at all.
An easy fix to the boosting nonsense would be the game detects if you have a certain amount of people over 2400 then thats your fixed rating.
I think gear should scale to rating while queued. If you queue into Rated at 1599 or less, your gear get scaled to 207. 1600 - 1799 scales to 213, etc. That way gear is non-factor in rated content.
I don’t mind losing but when it is just because the people on the other team have 10k more HP than me and 12 ilvls but the same rating, it’s like why even bother?
That’d actually make boosting easier, sadly.
I don’t see any problem, that’s how a ladder works in any game.
I’ve stayed out of arenas every expansion. It’s always dominated by melee cleaves.
