Once again, punishes casual players!

Thats because Blizzard dosent play their own game

is it ilvl or renown?

no clue lol. I dont really do them

No it wouldn’t have. If it had jumped to 210 then the next gripe would have been for it to be increased to 220.

Every time this issue comes up I always make the offer of “Sure, you can have ten extra ilevels for your EZ mode content, but in exchange mythic plus and raids get an extra ten ilevels as well.”

Not surprisingly, I never get any takers on that, because this isn’t about progression. It’s about soloers wanting to get max gear for doing mind numbingly brain dead content.

Then my argument is this: Why does there need to be a 20 ilvl difference between casual players and Mythic raiders when last expansion, casuals could obtain gear only 10 item levels lower than Mythic?

Why advocate for such a large gap? That’s the problem. That’s what I’m proposing; to lessen the gap, but still reward players with various play styles their appropriate gear.

How is level 200 not appropriate for the content that you do? You’re doing world quests, the maw and Torgast. I have a DK at ilevel 186 and he breezes through all that. That content ceased being difficult by ilevel 170. By 200 it should be mind numblingly easy even for the worst player. What possible reason do you need higher than 200 ilevel for any other reason but envy?

ever tried free steam games? i think wow might be too hard for you dude

I’m playing a steam game right now  Thanks for checking in.

Why are you assuming the content I do? :stuck_out_tongue: I didn’t make that assumption about you. I do a lot more than that. I really enjoy casual PvP, which I need decent gear to do. Blizzard has obliterated queued PvP, but that’s for a different thread.

There are more reasons to want gear than to make the game easy. That’s one of the reasons, but casual players also deserve to feel levels of progression and achievement, and reward can help that out.

I’ve explained it at least a dozen times in this thread already.

The ideal your promoting is archaic, people still play RuneScape too. If the gear situation doesn’t change take a look at RuneScape.

Ah yes, the ole “WOW will die if I don’t get what I want.” Been hearing that for…about the last 16 years now.

No I don’t think wow will ever die.(People still play RuneScape.)

you should play classic and then give us another essay about everything wrong with that version too

1.) Soloers already have a progression system in place which takes them to 200. They have a wall just like everyone else does.
2.)Soloers will get higher ilevel gear when everyone else does, in 9.1. Until then, deal with it.

RuneScape is on mobile now too. Just saying the gearing system currently in wow is archaic.

i mean if ur not doing 15s do u need high geared alts?

Solid. Thanks for the talk.

There’s nothing archaic about better rewards for more difficult content.

You’re welcome.

That’s where you miss the premise of this argument. Harder content has more rewards than just GEAR. No one wants to take away those. KSM MOUNT, unique transmog, raid mounts, optimal item synergy. Achievements.

Millions of people probably play RuneScape on mobile from time to time as well.

I’m sorry, but after you posted this…

“Just saying the gearing system currently in wow is archaic.”

…I thought it was about gear. If you want to backtrack now and say it is about more than gear, I’m fine with adding more loot options.

And good for Runescape, though I still don’t get why you keep bringing that game up.
