Old Elite mogs and old gladiator mounts

Nah, seasonal rewards are good for the game.

They are objectively bad for every game. Building on fomo not just toxic it makes people afriad of trying the game. You should be able to get these stuff for effort. I dont know a single m+ player who would care if after every dungeon u got a currency and you could just buy the old ones. Even without any rating.

Its the opposite. It pushed me to play mage for the first time (tww s1 elite set has to be one of the best mage sets ever)

I also played feral dk and warrior for their elite sets. Because I liked them and thought id give it a try. What you call fomo I call incentive. It increased my playtime and made me queue on alts I usually dont touch.

Now I get to dress my mage in a cool set for the rest of time while those who missed it cry that they dont have my shiny set. Maybe that will push them to actually try

Go to the dungeon forum and ask, I’ll bet you get a different result than you’re thinking. Lol

Yes but you would have played the game the same amount if they stayed in the game.

Idk noone cares about ksm mounts those are rewarded for no effort, and boosting m+ is the easiest and cheapest thing ever.

If that were true it wouldn’t be implimented in quite literally every MMO off the top of my head (Rivals, Destiny, Diablo, ESO, GW2, FF, OW, Lost Ark, etc)

Not even just MMOs. League has seasonal rewards too, and so do other MOBAs.

So you mentioned a few games I played OW, diablo and Lost ark. 2 of the 3 is dying the other one is diablo wich is I dont even know what happening there nowdays but PoE does a 100x better and you might say “but PoE has fomo too” yes it does and people cry about it a lot. But they have no other way to make money since PoE is a free game.

League does have seasonal rewards and thos are soooo bad. People doesent play league for rewards they do for rating, Im sure there are people who care about league rewards but they are such a minority I dont even know a single person. And I played that game for 7 years.

But still, Raid rewards are obtainable after their respected seasons even tho they require more/same effort than getting to glad. But it doesent change the fact that pvp needs more rewards to pull players into pvp. The best start is making the old stuff available for rating since it doesent require that much work. If this fails and player numbers are still going down blizzard needs to put some effort to rework the rewards.

I’ll repeat what I said here. Flexing on others about something earned ten years ago doesn’t make you look cool, it makes you look washed up. Do the work, get the rewards.

yeah hey buddy shouldda done the work :sob: more

Truth, although to be honest in order to gain more attention to PvP I’d do more then just re-add the old stuff and make current rewards better. More battlegrounds with unique objectives, more arenas, etc.

Fortnite-I mean Plunderstorm was the most unique and actually good form of PvP they’ve added imho because it brought something new over reskinned versions of their current battlegrounds and arenas.

Oh come on now, I cant take you seriously if you bring up the meme mode that had nothing to do wth wow. “Hello fellow kids”

Id take wow worst seasons over that garbsge

I would much rather take Plunderstorm over the same reskinned battlegrounds and arenas. Fortnite was a fresh change of pace over Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, Twin Peaks…

Will I prefer it over battlegrounds that bring new objectives? No, but do I find it better than what we have now? Yes. I realize I speak for just myself, but I find Blizzard’s current WoW PvP quite stale. HOTS is something more enjoyable in my taste in terms of map objectives for an example, Deephaul Ravine was the first battleground we’ve gotten since Legion.

here we go again.

I would like to see something more universal where say once a year on the anniversary event, every bnet account gets one “time warp token” where the account has access to earning, through the original means, one reward from the past be it an elite mog , keystone mount or artifact weapon. if it’s incredibly limited it stays exclusive but if you are in love with an old cosmetic there is hope

Yee u are probably right. i asked today some high rated pvp people they said it isnt bad if you add these things back since they doesent want anything else just more people into pvp and more competition. But overall you need more changes on multiple things to make people do more pvp, but less than 5% of the playerbase does rated pvp wich is insanely small.

I think its something what has to be done so blizzard funnels the pve players into pvp. The gameplay is fun but needs more players.

I just unsubbed cuz i realized win or lose every time i grind for something i want like ksm or an elite set i dont feel happy that i got it im just relieved that its over. I want to take my time and enjoy the game instead of feeling pressure to do one thing as soon as possible or ill never be able to get it again. So far my mental health has done nothing but improve. I literally almost had the whole mage set last season and all i needed was the shoulders but i ran out of time and i now i cant use it because there isnt much it matches. I had a friend who has been playing mage for 20 years and he doesnt even bother with pvp because he doesnt wanna get his hopes up. The state of pvp from what ive experienced is it’s mostly timegated sets that everyone wants and barely anyone can get, solo bgs and shuffle where its basically just a crapshoot with uncooperative people, or popcorning through the lfg for arenas. That sucks. No thank you. Good riddance.

Yes because lack of serious constant tuning and testing, leaving things broken for long periods of times.

Until they put actual effort into balancing and design rewards are saving anything

1800 shouldn’t be too crazy to get?

It is if you’re disabled or chronically ill or aren’t willing to no life the game. It’s also very difficult for players new to pvp that are only doing it for one of the rewards. I’ve never been able to get a pve friend to try PvP because it is so unfriendly towards people learning. If you’re experienced with PvP or just have really good luck then yeah doesn’t seem too difficult but that’s what maybe 20-30 percent of players? Everyone else is just left in the dust. I don’t think that’s fair. I think all rewards in a game should be equally accessible to all players and should not be timegated just to appease like 2000 people who actually care about looking and feeling special. Every pvper I have met has said the same thing, they don’t care about exclusivity of mogs or mounts or other rewards, they just want more people to play and to STAY. The timegating issue is a huge deterrent not just to new players but to current players looking to branch out and try new kinds of content. As of right now that doesn’t look like it’ll ever change and why would I want to play a game that does nothing but wear me out and wear out my friends? That’s not in the spirit of a game it’s more like a job.
