OK, STILL Having Trouble PickingOut My Trust Level Stats

Can I please just check in here and get them? I spent the whole weekend reading, liking and viewing and still don’t have the slightest idea where I am as compared to where I need to be.

Thanks

Remember these aren’t a one and done requirement, they roll.

So if you did a LOT one day, then little for awhile, those roll off.

Anyway - at the moment.

Thanks, Orlyia. Please see if I have this right: I need to reply to 4 posts/threads**

Need to view at least 301 topics

And since when I began asking, I had 19k posts to read, I now have 9k left to read.

I understand about the roll-off, but it seems like anyone who is also playing the game actively would sure miss out trying to get to level 3, wouldn’t they? I started early Sunday morning and read a thread that was 3k + posts long and finished 1 hour ago. Before that, not so many, but still at least 100 a day.

Also, I know that many of us have laptops and/or separate accounts, so they’d likely finish way before me, right?

read this in the voice of Boomhauer; “I don know maing, ya know? But I sure am tryin’ yep!”*

I just wanna be with my “Lounge Buddies”!!! wah!:worried::sob:

** Now three short?

Still 4 topics - I think they have to be unique topics.

You’ll get there! I play WoW a lot, but I’ve also been trust level 3 for awhile so both is very much dosble. I’m honestly not even sure when I earned it, I missed whatever memo they sent out. I just realized when I was able to post a link one day and was super confused.

I don’t even really browse forums other than the Support ones. I rarely venture to General, occasionally I’ll peruse the Druid class or PTR.

I just browse the forums on my phone while on break at work (not even work from home) or a bit before bed at night/when I wake up.

So yeah, just keep at it. And make sure you still continue to engage often or that one large thread will come back to bite ya.

When you’re trying to get to TL3 it’s a lot more of a feeling of insurmountability because of the sheer legwork required to get there when compounded by the variance in gameplay to be what you consider regular. If you want to get to it ASAP, it’s going to feel like a lot.

But if you’re comfortable getting there eventually, it’s just 200 posts read a day. Those 3k posts you read yesterday into today are going to drop off immediately at day 101 so you might lose TL3 for a day again, but if you maintained at least 200 posts per day since, you won’t be gone from that lounge for very long.

In that meantime, it’s just keeping your other metrics relatively standardized which is much easier by a wide margin.

And doesn’t it also drop if you don’t post for a while? Or even if you start posting a lot less than you normally used to like a post a week or so and do that for about a month then TL begins to drop so I have heard or is that part not true.

Yes, that’s the ‘other metrics’ part of my final sentence in that post. Posts, likes, different topics, simply visiting the forums if you intend to do nothing else.

Getting to and maintaining TL3 are the same requirements:

TRUST LEVEL 3

Get to trust level 3 by…

  • Must have visited at least 50% of last 100 days
  • Must have replied to at least 10 different topics
  • Of topics created in the last 100 days, must have viewed 500 topics
  • Of posts created in the last 100 days, must have read 20,000 posts (both starting posts and replies)
  • Must have received 20 likes, and given 30 likes.
  • Must not have received more than 5 spam or offensive flags (with unique posts and unique users for each, confirmed by a moderator)
  • Must not have been suspended (including forum suspensions or in-game account actions of any Blizzard game)

Are we sure about this one? It seems like people could easily coordinate to keep specific people from ever gaining TL3.

Couldn’t say, it was taken from the forum syntax thread. Not something I’ve personally tested.

Lord knows there are some repeat offenders around that are lurking and can post confirmation if they desire.

Without a subscription, they’d not be able to post outside of the support forums anyway.

Also, not for nothing, but the Jonãs and Friends thread located in the off-topic section of the forum has been active since March and doesn’t require a particular trust level to participate.

The part at the end “as confirmed by moderator” leads me to believe that it has to be an actioned post. Being flagged by itself (probably) doesn’t matter so much for this, just if a moderator agrees and does an action.

Should be upheld flags. So only if the mods say so.
