Completely different. Allied races were a list of requirements. They simply had one taken off the list. Balance of power is a whole questline. When’s the last time blizzard changed a questline years after it was relevant? Tbf though, you get double the rep from legion world quests now.
oh I agree. the rep sucks when you have several chars who have it prior. The needed repeat raid runs get old.
And the 50 gold item at the end has you go…we aren’t farming this 20 times a week. so…can that item be a bit more? like say a few hundred gold. I mean it even doesn’t cover the mog cost to put the appearance on your weapon lol.
edit: BoP questline was, when current, supposed to be done over a long period of time. Not something you could just do in one sitting.

it is account wide though. if you do it for your pally every pally on your account can use it.
The current design of grinding a rep in this game is a turn-off. I have no problem with the idea of grinding out a reputation if I can actually grind it out at my leisure. Needing to log on every day to make sure you don’t miss a daily and indefinitely lose progress is what kills it.

Actually, I agree to an extent.
I’m very pro flight and still think we should be able to get it with gold, but I’ve slowly come with- for now- this is just what Blizzard wants to do.
HOWEVER: changes need to made about it as far as rep requirements go. I understand slowed down rep grinds INITIALLY when the expac is new, however, either accelerated rep should be a thing at the end of an expac. Or just not a requirement at the end of an expac.
But that’s just me.

Not that much except for mythic I couldn’t solo. (Not a geared toon) but the drop rate for those thingamajigs was atrocious. Multiple full runs with 0. And that’s still only like 1/3 way through the questline I think.
Also, they seem to have made it so you can do several of those missions at once, instead of having to wait for one to complete to start another. Did the Priest campaign about a week ago, and I was able to send out 3 of the 5 missions for both of the “timegates” the moment I grabbed the quests for them.
Yea you could get a Class Mount in a day if you’re lucky.
The only real roadblock is one of the chapters of broken isles requiring 11 world quest.
These were appearances that were meant to be worked for. Welcome to the world of MMO gaming.

Seriously? What are you, ten with the attention span of a goldfish?
Are you somewhat surprised that the Legion quest chain is asking you to play Legion content?
Just tear through the Stormheim quest chain and get it done. It takes all of a day, if that. You can fly, you overpower everything in the zone, you have zero chance of failure, just get it done.
This isn’t like running a minute mile, this is basically go a mile and take as long as you want.

Completing Stormheim won’t net you revered, at least as far as I’m aware. There will be some rep grinding required.
The 16th anniversary rep bonus is still in effect. Now would be a perfect time to get it done.
And as I said before, it’s just a matter of time. This isn’t difficult, it just takes a while.

There are many, many rewards in the game that are immediately accessible.
There are a few that take a little more effort to obtain.
Occasionally there can be an argument for adjusting a requirement, but if you just log in, get irritated at a requirement that has always been there and is not hard to complete, for a reward that was never meant to be trivial to obtain, then that’s just pointless whining.
The Balance of Power appearances are fantastic, and they are absolutely worth the time it takes to get them (as a solo player now).
