OK, I officially give up on the "Balance of Power" questline (rep requirement is ridiculous)

Feeling this so hard today. First I couldn’t do the Dark Thicket all in one day because it saved me for 24 hours. Then dreading the night fallen rep, how you tell me revered with Valarjar F that. I switched accounts and releveled the same class, this rep grind is ridic esp with out catchups. Doesn’t apply to me for ‘leveling’ up a new char, because I’m already max level trying to do the main content on release. Before I changed accounts, I didn’t even get to use the MM xmog when not MM, now I am MM and I can’t even get them in a reasonable amount of time.

Balance of Power was meant to be an achievement that spanned the majority of an expansion. Of course it’s going to take a long time to do it now. Trust, it took much longer for people doing it when it was current.

They don’t. The time it takes to level up followers to the point where a great many alts can do rep token missions as we did during legion makes it impractical now.

Take a few weeks and just do it. Do the quests. Do the invasions. Do the world quests and the emissary for them and Kirin Tor.

Swear some people just want to log in, push an “i win button”, get their reward and log off feeling like they accomplished something.

As someone already mentioned 6 months ago on this, it was meant to take place over months. Not finish in 20 minutes

Lol why be in A hurry this game is not going Nowhere , take your time and it will get done before you know it.

If you have gotten exalted with the Nightborne on other characters, then one thing you can do to speed up the rep gains is keep checking your mission board for rep tokens. On any character that’s exalted the rep tokens are bind on account and can be funneled to the character that isn’t.

If you’ve never exalted the Nightborne then there are some benefits to doing so such as unlocking the class hall set shoulders.

But the funneling of boa rep tokens to your characters so they can easily get exalted is something to keep in mind.

how the hell does a thread like this get revived 6 months later? People really browse through these forums page by page long enough to get this far back?

This got me. Rounding up a group to kill Guldan and his stupid parasites too.

The rep grind isn’t the hardest part. You can get that easily doing WQ in Broken shore. Takes awhile, but if you wait for chests and the right timing, it’s not that labor intensive

That said, I’ll never do it again

Honestly I think thunder fury grind is worse, unless you buy everything

But they dont so your point is moot.

Not really. I wasn’t saying they were wrong for feeling frustrated with it. Just sharing my own experience of enjoying the journey over time, thinking it might encourage them. And maybe it did. Six months later, with a frustratingly long patch, I hope they’ve kept plugging away at it and gotten the achievement.

this thread is stunning and brave for sure.
