Oh would you look at that

yes, my “old” cloud servers. Yeah dude, you sure are informed.

So Ion lied? He did say it would be spread over multiple expansions just so that it doesn’t cut on other content. If the engine already makes it easily doable, it would already be done no?

Such an amazing and well explained “rebuttal”

Not.

Given that player housing would have zero impact game-play, who cares?

Aw man, really? I saw the headline and I got excited. :sob:

dev uses excuse, a feat never before preformed, film at 11. also, the quote is “to do it right would probably be over several expansions” right, of course being more difficult as a super incredible feature rich housing with race and class specifics, etc. the same quote has him saying there were only 2 types of garrisons, so it was easier. and even then he’s referring to the amount of art assets rather than the coding.

So who should I believe, you, without any knowledge whatsoever in how the game coding works, or the devs? Hmm.

Your mom has player housing

for sure guy

no, you just assume i don’t know anything about the engine or coding.

Haha!

The amount of folks raiding, is pretty small and it becomes smaller with each difficulty they add. Last time I read something about 5% doing Heroic. Ya, let´s keep focusing the game on those 5%, that is so clever.

Rated pvp is pretty much non existend anymore, it was huge in Vanilla and TBC; but since then gone downhill. I made Rank 14 twice, how many times did you do that?

The overwhelming majority of the playerbase does not even reach max level, or spends a lot of time there. This is the official Blizzard statement by the way.

I would say that raiding in WOW is as big as pet battles, but it receives like 90% of the attention from the devs. This can not be good for the health of the game and why the sub numbers are so low.

When WOW had more depth, in Vanilla and TBC, with a big lore, class quests, crafting and so on, it was much more popular and that for a reason.

When we the 1% did Naxx, we did not lose anything just because the majority of the players had content that was not raiding.

Blizzard must add things for the majority again, the past few years have been a nightmare in MMO design and the numbers show that. If they don´t turn this around soon, then you can raid in your basement, but no longer in WOW, as the game will end.

Warbands, solo dungeons are a start but they must add housing, it´s such an integral part of the franchise and WOD was hugely popular, not because of the raids, but the housing system.

A boost of 600k compared to the previous expansion, shows that.

Let me know if you did clear Naxx in Vanilla, if you did clear SWP pre patch in TBC and LK HC 10 pre nerf.

If you did, we can talk about who is good, else please don´t bother me any further.

That you are so afraid player housing could make your char weaker shows me, that there is not a lot of skill involved in your playing, else you would just man up and get the rewards from it.

Why are you complaining?

You are going to play anyway.

Everyone who plays after Shadowlands has no right to complain.

It’s over 60%

Heroic has equal the number of people of LFR and normal combined making it the most played raid raid difficulty.

What you read is wrong.

I have played above 2200 arena rating on multiple characters in multiple seasons.

Rank 14 is nothing but a grind and not respectable in any place as it’s reliant on nothing but grinding. It requires zero skill.

You mean when the game was braindead lol.

Let me know when you get any actual CE.

I’m not afraid of anything. You clearly cdnt distinguish the difference between not wanting to be forced into more content and being “afraid”.

Taking bets on who the first goober is who compares player housing to garrisons even though everyone knows they’re not the same thing at all.

Nevermind.

All 8 WoW players that want player housing should just get the XIV free trial and come hang out at my bath house.

People can cry WoW doesn’t need player housing but they have already come out and said it’s a matter of when and not a if anymore.

So like it or not player housing is going to eventually come to WoW. If you don’t like that sort of thing… don’t do it? Just like the farms back in MoP and several other side activities in the game that you don’t really have to do in order to enjoy the game.

Me personally… I look forward to when we get player housing. I’m sure it’ll at least be decent enough to work with. Will it be perfect? No, no system will be perfect ever. So long as they don’t go the route that FFXIV has were it’s so limited it’s punishing, or the route that ESO went where most of the housing stuff is locked behind a cash shop…

The game has always excelled at providing more than one type of activity for different types of gamers. Housing is the ideal mode for players in the Gardener/Architect category, so devaluing it is not that smart.

Yes, it may involve the effort of a content patch, but that’s it.

sure, but in this case it’s more like:

“hey, instead of giving you the food you ordered, here’s a piece of paper and a pencil.”

okay, cool. can i get the food?

“no, we spent your money on the paper and pencil”

but i ordered food! if i wanted to draw, I would have gone into the drawing store next door instead of a restaurant.

I don’t think this has anything to do with what the person I replied to was trying to understand.

Pot, meet kettle. Enjoy your day

I hope Blizz is not wasting resources on player housing. Money spent better elsewhere imo.

Anyone cooking breakfast? I slept in. I’m thinking french toast.

I think the big concern is once they add it, they will have to keep it updated forever. I know the forums are all about housing but in game I have yet to talk to anyone that has any interest in it. People want to play M+, raid and do open world content. Nobody is talking about housing except the loud minority on these forums. I’m all for new stuff/systems if they are fun. I feel housing is at the very bottom of the list. Other MMO’s have housing, yes. However, WoW is the king of MMO’s. There’s a reason for that. If people really want housing there are other options out there, go play them and have fun

If they add it, cool. I doubt they will due to the reasons I stated.
