Died once in the Windshear cave in Stonetalon. Was doing the quest with another guy and we did it fine, but on our way out one kobold got away and called like 6 more. Being a faceroll mage this wasn’t actually that big of a deal since I could AoE them, however what caused it to go south was as the kobolds died, some new ones spawned inside the AoE so instantly pulled and chain aggroed more. We both decided to run out since we were oom by that point. We actually made it out of the cave, but both died before the kobolds reset. So basically we died to hyper-spawns.
Saved a mage running out of that cave. He was booking it. Threw a target dummy down for him. Don’t think he ever thanked me.
Died in Redridge at level 19 on mage. Was at a camp of Gnolls, sheeped a mystic but then a two spawned on top of me, one of which was a basher. Stunned and dead. My own fault for being in the middle of a camp. Ah well.
All these people standing outside of caves waiting for one or two mobs to spawn are something else. More for me I guess.
I thought about making another mage because once you get stuff like blink and ice block, you’re usually good to go. Mine died too soon
Meant to post on my mage but whatever.
I was one level away from the good level for mages…ah well. Go again. Leveling is actually pretty relaxing although if I die too many times I will probably get bored. Which will probably happen because I want to try aoe leveling eventually, you know, just for the added danger.
My lock bit the dust at lvl 15 in barrens after a hyperspawn of centaurs. My mage this afternoon at lvl 9, scorpion came up while i was drinking i fought it till a sliver of life and it resisted my fire blast… i’ll be back!
I will admit i am enjoying the HC realms and it feels good seeing people grouping up to take on quests like back in the day. I wish retail would have this level of danger in the world.
Leveling a pally now, and it feels slow, but definitely more safe. I’ve not been in many situations where I’ve had to bubble+heal, but it has definitely saved me!
Also went alchemy so I have potion buffs and health pots. Leveled my cooking too so I always have a stam buff active. If I die this time, I’m going to duo with a friend instead of soloing
I died on a mage at 15 in westfall. Was doing really well. Able to pull 2 or 3 mobs. No problems. I ran down to the beach to kill murlocs to get some eyes… was dead within 5 seconds. Not fun.
Just disconnected at the bank in Darnassus after depositing a few things and logged back in to being dead at 45. Friend linked me death just said - Died while in Darnassus… ?? Shouldnt a d/c just instant log you while in a major city anyway… Sad
I’ve died twice. Made it to L 13 on a hum warrior, and L9 on a ne hunter. Now I’m playing a L 24 hum warrior, a L 14 hum paladin, and a L 13 dwarven hunter.
Troggs…
The seers in Loch Modan, was almost level 18.
I died for the first time just today, but was stupid, i shadowmeld somewhere i thought safe, went afk, when i came back… well you know, character screen, ghost…
Oh well was just a hunter lvl 9, better learn now than later. LoL
Still have
Paly 25
Warlock 23
Druid 17
Rogue 15
Warrior 10
Priest 10
Mage 1
Never been fan of classic hunter
No deaths yet but some are inevitable…
Level 31 nelf Druid. Have not played in a week plus to save up rested xp for the grindy 30s
Level 12 dwarf warrior awaiting rested xp
Level 12 human mage awaiting rested xp
Level 17 Tauren Hunter, my current favorite. I suspect I may seldom return to alliance toons in HC because I know that content too well. The horde quests and zones are unfamiliar enough that danger feels authentic. I’m really digging it. Plus The Rake is a mighty fine companion.
RIP to my hunter Vindeeca lvl 13. She died trying to tame a bear, and a cat respawned on her while she was at low HP. I tried to pot and get away but two mobs on me and it was gg.
She had leatherworking level’d up and had most of my money on her. She is missed.
Mage is level 22 and going strong! I’m definitely being more careful at this point
36 rogue still alive, but a few close calls.
Almost got friendly with Stitches.
Found a level 42 hyena when I trekked over to Tanaris.
Trolls in STV hit way harder than I’m used to so I dipped low on HP more than I should have.
A warrior I grouped up with for the Kurzen compound, when we more like 33 or so, wanted to go into the cave for more chances at the poison cure drops and I tried to advise against it, but we went in for a bit before noping out of there. I’m not super familiar with the cave, but between them being 36-38 and the commandos being stealthed he finally realized this was no go territory.
Died about 60 minutes ago in Desolace level 34, everything lagged out and I disconnected , GG.
Update: I died another time on a NE hunter and druid. Darkshore is tough man. However the same Tauren shaman is now at 37 and counting…
Only death was a lvl5 gnome warrior in a cave due to constant npc repop. Poor lil tink tink.
