The first thing I thought when I read the change was, you can’t be serious that this is your reasoning…that OLD content will be done too fast. OLD content that is not even relevant anymore and is only a time sink for players who want OLD stuff. You know what the solution is for everyone who sees that Dracthyr have an advantage when farming old content? MAKE A DRACTHYR!

This is exactly why I didn’t preorder Dragonflight. I knew Blizzard was going to make Blizzard decisions yet again, despite all the propaganda that they had learned and were listening to players to make the game fun again. This and the infuriating decision to nerf even Dragonriding movement to be slower, more sluggish, and non-responsive than it was. Only Blizzard could take such a massive win, something every single person who played it was gushing over as perfect, and decide, “You know what, everyone likes exactly how we made this thing…LET’S CHANGE IT.” For the worse. Two massive L’s.

Because the individual abilities are not OP…the combination of ALL racial abilities is what makes the Drakthyr racial line-up OP.

So if you still stand by this, then you would have to agree that currently Zandalari Trolls and Pandaren are the two most broken races in the game right now and they need to be nerfed because they have too many racials, for your logic to be consistent

I still disagree about pandas overall…but sure, Zandalari Trolls could take another look to bring them in-line with the other races.

I don’t feel like their advantage is as big as the one that Drakthyr currently have but they are still ahead of many of the other races.

The difference is that Mechagnome needs to build up to that stat bonus, Pandaren do not. Primary stat scaling is very front-loaded, and although it’s a great numbers increase, it doesn’t necessitate that it’s always better than secondary stats. If this were the case, then we’d still be using trinkets and rings that always have primary stats on them, the same logic applies here.

I would think that would really depend on the length of the fight. Does having 20 less primary stat for 40 seconds of a 10-minute fight really make that big of a difference? Or in M+s when groups are constantly chain pulling so mechagnomes never lose their primary stat buff?

we don’t have conclusive data to determine how strong their racials actually are, but based off the numbers we have now, and based off of what we can see now, their racials do not seem that strong on paper. We cannot call for nerfs on in-combat racials that we don’t know how it will perform.

You don’t need data to confirm how strong Drakthyr racial abilities are…In fact, other than the mastery buff none of them will even show up in a sim.

Blizzard felt that their racials were too strong and made changes. Thats really all that can be said about that.

I think most forum users universally dislike when people do that during a conversation.
