Blizzard is very strict PR wise - they’d never approve of him making a post like that on the official forums.
Just because McDonalds is greedy doesn’t mean the developers have to be. Most of the code here is long written and they have made billions in profit on this game.
No ones salary has gone up 4x since 2004, on average I mean.

Yeah, almost. ClassicWoW subreddit is hella toxic.
I mean, I try to not be against devs. But they make quite a bit of money just from the 15$ a month. take into account inflation the old 15$ in 2004 would be 24.90$ now, not 45-60$ for inflation. So hold your horses there buddy.
Not to mention if they have 1 million people, that’s 15 million a month USD, we know the sub numbers are probably around 7 Million so were looking at more money a month from WoW subs alone then most medium sized game companies profits for a year.
It ain’t chump change. Lol. People do need to lay off them, even I admit I was pretty pissed when Phase 3 got extended but if they asked for the time so I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt, they promised the world so they raised the bar. All we can do is wait.
Not to mention with tokens and the pot gold at the end of a GDKP ban lot of GDKPers don’t even pay a sub
The best part about GDKPS in SoD is that they are banned and it makes swipers mad they cant buy their way into top tier.

You not finding it odd that the posts for the original announcement of Season 3 being delayed was may 17, and the new update was barely 2 weeks later, suddenly promising information on the ptr AND general information like we saw with P3 in one more week after that (so next week) is pretty wild to be honest.
You don’t make a long drawn out post about Season 3 being delayed, if the delayment was 2 weeks. Backlash and, likely, the uninterest in their cash shop version of classic, cata, is what did that.
With the original announcement, the claimant was that they weren’t ready and made it look like nothing was even close due to. for lack of a better phrase, “too many dishes cooking” (which was their actual excuse, that too many things were going on at once) Sorry, you don’t say that and then turn around and make the claim that there is in fact enough people working on SoD, Cata classic, and retail to not have a delay, literally say that SoD development is cruising along, and then claim “oh yeah guys, actually information is coming out next week”

They can’t monitor discoords and they cant ban someone for “joining a guild” and doing a run and getting funneled gear.
It probably slowed it down because the average person isn’t aware of the avenues to navigate but its still blatantly here lol

Getting funneled gear through whatever ingame metric a guild wants to use, like right now having everyone having gear from the phase lasting too long, and someone straight up having to pay to even get in the content and then pay AGAIN to get the gear from the content is two entirrly different things.

the fact they haven’t increased the sub cost just shows we’ve been overpaying all these years lol 
P3’s Incursion and class/raid balance threw the devs for a loop bad enough to make a PTR, so its understandable that it would get a bit increased. The bad part is that they’ve probably been ordered to not overlap releases.
Cata Raids came out and Aggrend gave us an update the day/hour of them going live like an NDA was lifted.
The day/hour of War within beta launched Aggrend posted another update about PTR/P4 news for next week which gives the beta a full week before they drop P4/PTR news.
It’s pretty obvious at this point that the execs in Blizzard are putting their thumb on release schedule, which I mean sucks. We don’t exactly know how their dev situation actually is, we know the team is small and we know blizzard isn’t giving them a lot of resources. Have they done some poor choices? Yeah, Cata should never have been under the classic dev team. It should have been transferred to the retail dev team since the underlying store code and Microtransaction code and token code is mostly retail code. It’s essentially retail minus the upgraded graphics.
The PTR is coming, Wowhead already detected the phase patch in the encryption files, and Aggrend said he’ll drop news in a few days.

This is exactly my main problem with it.
I dont care who lies. I care that a lie was though of as the best way forward at all, and i care that, with feigned support of banning As many of the big RMT paths as possible (no store in vanilla modes, no gdkp) someone in power still feels the greed to stifle this mode for other cash shop versions of the game.
It wasnt even done in a smart way. It was obvious.
