Business are Amoral. They want money, that is the start middle and end. Naturally they will choose the path they think will maximize profits. Even if it means pausing P4 updates to let Cata and retail breath because they have store fronts.
It sucks, but they will do everything in their power to make money especially when Microsoft has a 88 billion dollar black hole from buying Blizzard.
I predict P4 will come out June 25th.

People are going to keep getting upset/toxic here, but can you blame em? Youre paying for a service, and they cant even update people on the patches happening? I swear, when I used to login, I was greeted with the blue post changes on the launcher, maybe im just getting old.

Paying for carries in wow has been around since 2004. These people get the gear and the limited experience that comes with being in the raid/dungeon as the content is cleared, the onlymone that pays is the one wanting a carry. 0 other people pay for anything and groups in general dont rely on payment just to zone in, its JUST carry groups and its at the discretion of the one buying the carry.
Its also not what GDKPs are. GDKPS artificially inflate everything price wise that the player can set, restricts entry to nearly all content at or near max level through running rampant on the LFG/LFR system (and in older versions of the game, these are around 75 to 85%~ of all groups listed) that dont leave much room for someone who isnt already geared. Its gotten worse since blizzard put the wow token in. I logged onto cata classic through sheer boredom, saw that one level 85 item is 40-50k, and immediately logged back out.
So again, funneling gear and buying into a run that can only be bought into, paying AGAIN for any gear that drops, and having to 50/50 hope that nothing happens to make the Group Leader leave with the gold pot, are not the same thing.
Since you cant buy gear from gdkps, it did indeed stop people

People complain about seeing GDKP groups but refuse to START THEIR OWN non-GDKP RAID. Sad and pathetic.
Seems like everyone who is against gdkp are just wanting to get carried through everything. to the point where all they need to do is find a group and click accept.
Basically, the people who run the raids and organize it all are forced to give up their loot because the casuals want “Fair treatment”.

You are literally begging for gdkps to be back (this isnt the only thread youve responded in) and youre directly stating you know that gdkps go on, that you know they use another way to track the runs/involvement, that sod will somehow be better if they were back (they wont) and that they havent stopped.
If youre trolling just to see yourself talk, then it doesnt mean much. If youre actually being serious, then youre directly involved.

Even though OSRS has legit moved to Twitter, they still make sure to post updates on their bug fixes/plans on the website AND launcher for their game.
Oh and they tell us everything they plan to do, and we get to choose if we like it or not. Got to love having no stealth nerfs. Even if there is a “forced update” they will explain it. And that’s generally only QoL things.
They are getting rid of the forums, but like I said they have moved the people over to Twitter over years. Not a few months.
At this point I had a good 3 weeks of fun with MoP Remix, we got the new retail expansion coming out, I havent even touched Cata yet, and I’m having fun raiding with old friends again on vanilla classic doing EVERY raid, which we won’t have in SOD for what, 6 months until we get an actual NEW raid, not just the old vanilla ones with runes and stupid gear they have to revamp during the middle of a phase?
SO WHY WOULD I HAVE BEEN PLAYING SOD RECENTLY, AND WHY WOULD I CONTINUE TO PLAY SOD? I got full BIS in phase 3 in 6 lockouts, and I just got bored. Came back to do 1 more parse chase run after the loot upgrade came out, but it was just boring.
I have no reason to loot up a character in ZG AQ20 MC BWL AQ40 Naxx in SOD when I have them in vanilla classic already. I have other things to do in WoW, let alone to do in life! Give me actual new content, no more raid revamps, how bout an actual NEW raid like they promised? Give us some crazy Emerald Dream raid, Karazhan crypts, make something crazy like a raid based around finishing Ashbringer finally, idk. SOMETHING new! Otherwise I honestly might wait until SoD TBC if there is one since I do miss TBC.
