You would know terrible ideas since you convinced like 6 people to sperg out on the forums to get us kicked off the US BG, How goes SoM and leading the PvP discord with all 3 people on the server?
Ask blizzard after they opened xfers and kill the server
The majority of people within this thread are only asking for one (1)! fresh server, and they aren’t even throwing a tantrum as to whether its PvE or PvP like the yanky doodles are.
People are crying the we dont have the population to sustain based on figures from the end of an expansion, and before pre patch firstly. Secondly, people espouse this whole thing about ‘community’ and population size when in reality you look at Arugal and its basically just GDKP’s and bots. Outside of your own guild you probably don’t do a whole lot - the only added benefit to getting an influx of new people onto a server like Yomama or Arugal is that theres more people to sell GDKP’s to, who will likely be buying gold to keep up with their counterparts.
The absolute worst case scenario for this is that the fresh server MIGHT die - and they can just offer free xfers to Arugal or Yomama.
The only people who are outraged by this notion are those people sitting there in full Sunwell gear who have been farming gold / selling GDKP’s for weeks and are frothing from their greasy beards that new people just want an equal playing field on a server that doesn’t have stupid amounts of inflation.

I think you are thinking to far ahead
If they open a single fresh OCE:
- alot of people come back to play
- OCE battleground gets more action, less queues for arena and BGs
… if it dies it merges or people transfer off.
If they DONT open an OCE fresh:
- People just wont play at all.
- People will roll on US fresh (even less if its US East) and deal with 150ms - 300ms
- People will just roll on the current OCE servers.
… this will just split the OCE playerbase up looking to come back for wrath between OCE and US.
Not really any downside to opening a single fresh OCE and let the playerbase deal with the outcome

I agree tbh i’ve always advocated to support OCE population regardless i still believe the solution i mentioned with RDF crossrealmed for OCE is the best outcome for our region but as you mentioned it can’t really hurt to have 1 oce fresh anyway
So hopefully blizzard listen

RDF crossrealm would be a better solution then opening transfers onto the fresh server, which likely wont happen considering the pop of OCE over the other regions

Honestly reading this thread makes me realise why wow retail went the way it did. “if you aren’t having fun like me, its not fun”. Bro one more oce server isnt going to effect you at all.

I agree with what someone said here that one of the biggest kicks in teeth is that Blizzard decided to announce this a mere three days before pre patch release, it’s just absolute garbage.
But who are we to poke at a small indie company like Blizzard, communication is hard.

Adding my voice for a fresh PvE Oceanic server, for what it’s worth. If it fails, it gets merged with Remulos after a few months. Simple enough.

Anyone saying oce fresh is DOA
The original server cap was 2500. A mega server doesn’t appeal to everyone. A server with 500 people each faction should not be considered dead. It won’t hurt you if we get it. Why be negative for the ones who want it.

A server with 500 people each faction would indeed be considered dead, proof is all the people who post reddit and forum posts saying that their server has 2 items on the AH and cant do anything.

After announcing fresh servers months ago, how could you leave it until days before the pre-patch launch to tell us Oceanic players that we aren’t included? Me and my friend were so hyped to come back because of fresh servers!
Please add an Oceanic server. Just one is fine, I don’t even care whether it’s PvP or Normal.

You can’t argue with trends, if they open a OCE fresh server I bet it will be basically dead in 2 months. I’ll bet you 1,000,000 luna classic
SOM (a repeat of vanilla Classic only months after we all played through it) is completely different to fresh Wrath Classic. The audience for the two is just not comparable.
And there are plenty of people like me that are considering not playing at all because of no fresh. I would prefer to play a fresh server that might eventually die than not get the option at all.

The only thing fresh classic has going for it is economy that will be ruined anyway and mass leveling groups.
SOM brought something that wasn’t available on the progressive servers, fresh doesn’t apart from the stated above.
And you’re being a drama queen, US west will be fine for fresh.
