+1 For OCE fresh server PVE
You can just look at SoM for something similar.
While most SoM servers died early on, Lionheart and Swamp of Sorrows were dead right out of the gate. There simply wasn’t enough people to sustain them. Right now you guys have a couple solid Oceanic servers, go play on those. After 3 months there will be nothing different between Fresh and Established servers anyway.
SoM isnt a valid argument in the slightest for not having a OCE fresh realm …
Ok? How many people do you think want a Fresh experience? I think I recall a poll saying only 20% of people. And then divide that many by how many of those play on Oceanic servers and it is even a smaller number.
Your server would be dead out of the gate. Don’t pretend like it wouldn’t be true.
That’s a load of horse s***, I literally played on Swamp of Sorrows for ages. The population was absolutely booming. It died off closer towards the Naxx end of thing’s because people weren’t arsed doing the same things over and over again.

lmao sure 200 raiders at most is booming ok
keep huffin that copium
Imagine if SoM released with some actual meaningful changes to have all those players that just played classic to want to actually play it after just played through it all AND without TBCC coming at the same time.
The argument makes no sense, its a bad comparison.
If anything Classic’s release in 2019 is a better example. Since it’s content we haven’t had access to since its original run through Retail. Where we needed multiple extra servers opened because the 2 we got on Launch filled immediately and had several hour long queues for the majority of the first 2 phases.
If you can’t understand why way more people would be interested in Wrath Fresh over a twisted changed version of Vanilla that everyone had just played then I’m afraid no amount of discussion is going to change your mind.
Bump! +1 OCE fresh server! Surely Blizz will have to add an OCE fresh server from the response of this forum!
Correct. And then everybody continued to play and queue into those megaservers, allowing other perfectly viable servers to whither and die, due to FOMO. Because the general consensus of the Classic community is Small/Med Pop = DOA, avoid at all costs.
If anything, it should be the other way around. Blizzard should release OCE Fresh servers and free transfers to those servers if the US server becomes too popular. This makes more sense than opening too many servers and then reducing the numbers.
I mean, that would be an option, I guess. It’s considerably more work though since they’d have to look into data to see how many OCE players are there and then work to get the server up for us. You said yourself earlier in the thread that expecting Blizzard to react to these kinds of server issues quickly is pointless.
It’s easier if they turn an OCE server on from day one, then at the 90 day mark when they’re evaluating Fresh servers to determine whether or not to turn on transfers, they open us up (if the server needs it) to moving to any established OCE server or to Skyfury if we want to maintain the Fresh experience.
You know, on reflection maybe that’s not a great idea. Initial scarcity and subsequent abundance definitely contributed to the megaserver FOMO.
I don’t know, man. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
If you can’t understand why way more people would be interested in Wrath Fresh over a twisted changed version of Vanilla that everyone had just played then I’m afraid no amount of discussion is going to change your mind.
Yeah its getting to the point where I think they must be trolling when making this comparison, fair play if they were trolling because I’ve been baited otherwise they’re just plain dumb.
no probs… just convince everyone there to delete all their toons and gold.
you need 25 to clear the top tier of content so…
