Oh sweet summer child, one names on WoW are different, being upset at a name online is childish.
Two, I’ve been reported for telling someone they should find new employment that doesnt involve anything expensive or requiring higher knowledge if they can’t touch blade servers without causing $2000 per server. They caused $6000 total in damage where I was reported to HR, and they were given a stern warning that wasnt recorded. Take it as that.
Lmao, imagine reporting names. If you’re offended by a WoW user name, you’re probably not far in life, or privileged to be upset by nonsensical words. Unless its racist, who cares.
so you pulled out your victim card . claiming that someone forced their will on you physically. and your response to that is to try to force your will on someone else ? with no real understanding of why this person has chose that name. not taking into consideration what that name might mean to him or her. nobody likes bullies online or otherwise .
Oftentimes, the person will get booted offline, forced to name change, and will just change it to the same thing with alternates/alt codes/similar name.
Considering that your name is an obvious, and offensive, reference to incest it seems to me that you have no moral high ground here. Also why do you assume that the person with the name "wifeabuser’ is a guy. Ever think it could be the wife who is abusing their husband/wife?
So funny… you think the “stricter naming policy” on naming policies stops people from making offensive names like that? You have got to be delusional. I see hyper offensive names on a daily basis on the RP server I’m on.
Yeah, they aren’t doing this because I have seen people have to get their names changed but if you do a character look up by that name there are still plenty of others using it.
Blizzard doesn’t actually do anything good whatsoever. They only do what “looks” best to the extremely outdated and disconnected developers running the show for the past 4-5 years.
Thing is, the people who decide what looks best aren’t even real. They’re people who haven’t made a human connection in years and they sit inside of a cubicle and think everything on Twitter is the real world and that’s how WoW needs to be.
They’ll keep losing subscribers, Blizzard will keep bringing in lesser and lesser profits. And eventually every dev we currently know will be out of the job, and we’ll have new devs who hopefully correct course and fix this sinking ship. Other than that? Blizzard doesn’t give a damn. Social justice is just a nice little crutch for Blizzard to use for some quick and easy cash.
Sometimes I’m amazed at the names that people are still getting by with. I always get a laugh, some of them I’m surprised they can move 5 yards in oribos without getting spam reported
There’s not a single good human being working at Activision Blizzard. They don’t give a damn about your name. If you have an offensive name that they can change because “Look at us, we’re not being accused of Sexual Assault!” (But they are), they’ll change it.
Otherwise? Use any offensive name you can think of. If it isn’t connected to some social issue of the time, Blizzard does. not. care.
These are not good people, and they do not care what terrible words WoW players put out. They’ll pretend they do, but they don’t. Just keep doing what you’ve always been doing.
For some names like fuzzbutt, yes. Not for wifebeater, wifeabuser or other deeply offensive names though. There’s nothing funny about them, not one bit! It is outright disgusting.
