Dude, that makes no sense. There are standards for what’s offensive and what’s not. She’s talking about general stuff, not personal stuff that you’re bringing up. Wifebeating or names that are labeled after racism or body parts are not meant to be used for a reason. Because they encourage toxicity in slow increments, people trying to one up each other at having the more offensive name, where does it end? So, not the same thing as what you wrote there.
When was beating anyone up considered having a ‘sense of humor’? xD Idk but you’d probably make people cringe if you went around with that sort of sense of humor, just saying.

Unfortunately they don’t have the people needed to review the reports in a timely manner and while we don’t know how many reports they get a day I assume too many to be able to get to them all quickly. That’s why they setup the automated system the way it is.
Sure they could create a team dedicated to just shifting through each and every report but again it all depends on how many reports are received in day to allow them to get to them quickly like within 3 business days vs sitting for weeks at a time.
It would be great if all reported names got a cursory glance from GMs and not just the ones that reach a threshold of reports.

There have been times I’m the only one remotely around and I report a very offensive name and that person disconnects, then like 5 minutes later, they come back online with a new name.
So I dunno exactly what the criteria for auto-rename is, but one definitely exists.

Some do, you can find people on the net saying they were forced to change their name but 
. Let’s say my name is offensive, Greney, and Blizz makes me change it, I’ll just change it to Grèney and then Grenèy and then Grènèy or let’s say someone has the name wifeabuser like in the OP and they have to change it, they’ll just change it to spouseabuser or something along the same lines and every time they change their name they are free to run around until they get reported enough again.
