Offensive names yet nothing done about it

I could care less. Leave the name alone.

I would ask you to take your own advice, but I can see worrying about other people is what you fill your evenings with

I remember I made a Character with a name I thought was funny. A Void Elf. I said : “Hello” in trade chat, to see if the name would get a response. Within a wink, I was logged off, and prompted to change its name lol.

I still laugh at how fast it can work.

Maybe he told the GM :

“No no no. We are not allowed to use spaces in our names. My name means : Wife Ab User! My wife’s Abs are so shredded I use them for inspiration.”

I see names like that all the time that make me question what little faith in humanity I have left.

I know its hard to accept the truth

It only took you a day to come up with a reply – how cute! Keep at it, some day you’ll learn to recognize your own arguments turned back on you. pinches cheeks

This isn’t true with all kids and saying it is is very disingenuous. Some kids have close relationships with their parents and tell them everything. I did, my mom always knew my “body count” as you put it. And I have the same kind of relationship with my kid. Even at 35 I still talk to my mom about that kind of stuff, and everything else under the sun.

Just bc you and your friends behave a certain way doesn’t mean all ppl do.

Lots of people have given up reporting names. But after a certain number of reports, the character does get a forced name change.

I see there is one character named ‘wifeabuser’ from an armory search.

I can probably count on two hands the number of times I’ve seen players with obviously offensive names in nearly 20 years of playing the game.

Don’t let these people convince you that there is some kind of epidemic of toxicity out there. There isn’t. They just want to use the obvious exceptions to the rule as an excuse to create the tools they want to use to silence their political enemies.

I can safely say I’ve seen well over 1000 offensive names in my 18 years on WoW. It’s more common than you think. I’m jealous you haven’t seen them.

No you haven’t. Do you honestly believe that people who have been playing the game for as long as most WoW players are going to believe this nonsense unless they too have an agenda they want to push forward?

The answer is no.

Your desire to make everyone else as unhappy as you are isnt as subtle as you may think my friend

Also Im sure you are aware that spending all day on the forums coming up with sarcastic responses isnt what normal people do right?

There’s a person in this thread alone named after the length of a male reproductive appendage. It isn’t rare.

There are millions of people who play WoW. The vast majority don’t have offensive names. Pointing out one here and one there is meaningless.

sigh…I was waiting for this. You are incorrect.

Clearly another person who has no idea what an analogy is, I guess I will have to provide a definition. Nah, just google it.

P.S. Please get more of your friends to try to flame me with their ignorance of what an analogy is, my ignore list isn’t long enough yet.

Semper Fi! :us: :ukraine:

Here’s one that reflect on the mentally disabled that I reported insane asylum and nothing was done.

Yes. I have. I’ve encountered more than 10 people in this week alone.

I rarely report them, but they do exist.

Hmmm… perhaps thats because you’ve set the bar so low that everything is offensive to you?

In fact, I’m pretty sure that’s the case considering the results of the “Social Contract” topic from earlier in the week.

The reply below yours is exactly why we’re getting a new social contract.

That said, I too have seen far more vulgar names lately than I’d like to. Ones that are related to pornography and whatnot, and quite blatant. I’m on an RP server too, specifically because I like to avoid that type of player.
