This is absolutely ridiculous. Change it back! We don’t want to play with US server players with the ridiculous ping. The laggy BGs we have played today were a waste of time.
A lot of people are posting without knowing what is involved in this stuff, if you queue arena on retail you will generally vs Australian teams unless the queue goes more than around 3 minutes, at which point you will vs a team on USW, if you are playing peak time and you’re not a very high rated player you will not be overly affected by this.
Higher rated players and people who queue in abnormal hours however will now be able to actually play the game.
Please don’t listen to the whining blizzard, let this sit and they will calm down and play.

So the fair solution in this case is 50/50 chance the matchup is oceanic server or server that other team is based. However we know based on the previous outcry that occured that would never happen.

So the majority has to suffer a worse gameplay experience to cater for a tiny proportion of people? Nice logic. I also like how you try to imply that you’ll be one of these higher rated players. We both know you won’t. So you’re literally shooting yourself in the foot by supporting this decision.

moronic update, instead of merging just remove OC ability for rank 1 title/mount rewards. don’t punish the entire OC community over a few people who were going to be in that rank 1 mix.
I’d prefer to have no shot at gladiator title due to limitations within the battleground than to have no shot at enjoying PvP at all because the game feels clunky and my reaction time is artificially slowed.
For all the positive things I’ve seen you post @Kaivax, this is the only change made to WoW Classic/TBC that has warranted me logging on to complain of the game being essentially unbearable to play.
I might as well play on Endless. Same content (that I and my friends care about) and now, same responsiveness.

No, my comment is that the majority of people will experience no change in arena, bgs seem to be messed up at the moment though because there are no aussie only queues, which is different to how it works on retail.

Revert changes please, this change to the oce battlegroup is terrible. i do not wish to play on high latency ping, i’ll be canceling my sub till this has been reverted, most of my friends are also quitting due to this change as well. rip classic wow at the start of tbc

That’s nice and all that you haven’t experienced a lag free trial, but we did! For the last two weeks we’ve had arena functioning beautifully. The game felt crisp. It felt like what I pay to play. Now I’m left at a crossroads where I know how the game can run, but the devs are choosing not to run it that way.
There’s plenty of people on OCE servers to support decent queue times. I’d just boost an ally toon on another account if the queues bothered me because then I can pvp on an alliance toon whilst waiting on my horde one.
But this change? This change doesn’t even incentivise rolling alliance, because either way we’re stuck with a clunky pvp experience that I could get elsewhere for free.

If your friends are quitting too, i urge you to tell them to also comment in here, we need as many individuals behind this as we can. If they don’t want to that’s fine, but if people don’t speak up, it is less likely they will take this seriously.

REVERT, “Blizzard” has not even thought about OCE players with this decision, read back the thread, everyone would rather longer queues than 300ms, maybe next time you guys should at least send this to a poll or a vote before going straight public? Jesus Fn Christ.
