This is an absolute rubbish decision once again. Blizzard has shown again that they don’t give two f***s about the OCE community.
This has killed my hype for the game that I jumped onto the classic train for and i genuinely can’t believe some of the incompetent choices that keep being pushed onto the players time and time again… It really is getting old now.
I’m so glad that i didn’t waste money boosting my druid but I still definitely feel like I wasted time leveling it, because the only reason i made my druid was for tbc arenas…

Literally every oce server based game has this problem.
League of Legends is the biggest example. Challenger players have queue times of up to 40 minutes but people accept it because of our small server size and location.
Literally no one asking to be merged with NA servers.

Kaivax, this is unacceptable. Seriously it’s just one thing after another. You fulfil your prophecy of Oceanic servers needing to be merged to get Q’s because you will have killed our PVP scene. What is the point in us even having our own servers? I played back when we didn’t and it was terrible. It has been so nice to be able to play with decent ping, please don’t implement this permanently. Another out of touch decision that I’m sure comes down to money… Hell I wouldn’t be surprised if you just stopped hosting servers for us and this is the start of phasing them out to save on your bottom line. I know that’s unhinged but I don’t understand continuous, consecutive decisions that negatively impact the player experience, when all we want to do is go back to a time when you hadn’t already ruined it.

It’s 2021. we don’t need lag specially in arenas. people have quit on the original version because of the high ping. it will cause them to quit again if this isn’t reverted.
if oceanic hosts and americas get high ping would they like that? no

This is extremely unfair for oceanic players. We have a large enough player base for our own pvp group. Revert this change, Blizzard.

You can’t in anyway believe that forcing us to play on 200ms+ ping will make our experience better, 20-30 minute queues for PVP wasn’t ideal but at least it was playable

I’ve had a guildy get a refund for their boosted character, I suggest anyone who boosted a character specifically for Arenas submit their refund requests now. 3-5 business days for the refund
