This Dev team has consistently proven how awesome they are in actually listening to the players. Bravo!!!
With weekly maintenance on Tuesday, June 1 (10:00 p.m. AWST, Midnight AEST, 2:00 a.m. June 2 NZDT), we will revert this change.
I like how you ninja patched the changes, admit you @#$%ed up and then we have to wait 5 days
I think i might play caster now, the latency is gimping me. Thanks bliz for your intentional murder of pvp.
Was hoping to get pre honor especially during the double honor, pre patch may as well be defending nodes and watch youtube now. More lossās but blizz hates oceanic.
Look at mostly Alliance nolifers who are so happy that they benefit from being the nolifer trash they are.
The merger gave us better queues, several AV active at 3am a better and wider/better players base.
After launch, OCE bgs, will be the usual misery of barely 3 bgs active per day at peak time, BUT NO THIS IS BAD!!! I have to premade with 10nolifers like me with 20 ping to beat a pug with no healers so I feel better about my nerd garbage life, YAI!
No ping will save you in arena u bunch of nerd losersā¦
Thank youā¦
Donāt talk, your mouth is only good for 1 thing.
Exactly, this should be the same as retail.
Iām shocked; I was pissed but resigned to a fate of bad ping.
Cheers!
If youāre going to have an OCE only battlegroup then there needs to be an OCE only ladder for rewards, the lower population means less inflation and it will not keep up with NA rating.
That being said, OCE has never had its own battlegroup on retail because it does not have a population big enough to sustain one, Iām pretty sure this wonāt be any different in Classic. This will lead to arena being dead at higher ratings and no doubt there will be scumbags exploiting this by win trading freely at 4am. Blizzard is creating a lot of extra work for themselves to have to investigate and take action against this, expect OCE and NA to be merged again during season 2.
The mistake Blizzard made was letting us queue into East Coast games which are a complete lagfest for oce.
West coast games are much more manageable and definitely feel a lot less laggier, with west coast games only we still have a decent playerbase 3 months into the expansions to play with, without completely unplayable lag.
Just make it optional to queue into the NA battlegroup. If you can stomach the west coast ping, why not have the option to have more games / more availability? If you donāt want to, you queue OCE and deal with a smaller playerbase.
Thanks but also, now do retail please.
I donāt care about the lag, after playing with spellbatching for 2years, just happy we donāt have to play with OCE they have even more bots then US.
This is the best outcome, 0.3s delay on everthing as well as rubberbanding in fast pace TBC arenas will kill arenas for OCE. Iād rather a quality experience then a larger quantity of crap games.
You have the option to transfer to the US battlegroup.
Very insightful, I would love to transfer to a realm where peak is 12 hours difference.
Despite all of the toxicity youāve put out in this thread, Iām still yet to see a legitimate reason why an opt-in to the NA battlegroup isnāt a good idea.
Care to elaborate?
Not everyone has the luxury of playing āpeakā times.
I personally am one of them who gets to log on at around 12am-1am ST.
As for battlegrounds I donāt really care if they were moved to NA but arenas? What was Blizzard thinking? The faction imbalance is taken care of in Arenas.
As for queues ā¦ you only face a queue in Arena if another team near your rating canāt be found. During the afternoons and evenings that wonāt be a problem. At 3am on a weekday that might be hard.
But weāre not COMPLETELY stupid down here. Most Oceanic players understand that at 3am there arenāt going to be many people online and things like arenas might be hard to get.
I know Blizzard walked back these changes but it really shows you how out of touch the devs are with the Oceanic playerbase.
