If you havenāt already look at moving to a NA or EU realm. This might solve your problem
We already have lots of NA guildies due to their playtimes

This is a great change. PLEASE START ASKING THE COMMUNITY BEFORE MAKING CHANGES LIKE THIS! You canāt just have some intern/internal discussion and change things like this without discussing it with the people it affects. It happens far to often at Blizzard. It needs to stop.

This was an issue on Retail and when youāre put on another regions servers it causes HORRIBLE lag.
People are giving you legitimate reasons, you are choosing to ignore them as those reasons donāt affect you in your super niche circumstance. Itās about the masses, not the few. If you want a bigger pool go US, there is guilds on US that raid odd times as well.
In 2007 we had much higher ping and good players still made it in BG9. Retail arena is actually much faster paced and good players on Oceanic servers are doing just fine. True, 200 ms is going to give us some disadvantage playing against US players but its not going to make a a huge difference as most people will still queue into other Oceanic players during our peak time.
However, there are too few players on Oceanic servers especially those who will be focused on arena therefore it is inevitable at some point the queues will be dead after some of these people quit / off peak.
Furthermore, since our player pool is too small for seasonal rewards we will still have to be part of the US battlegroup.
The retail matchmaking is completely fine but if you want to improve it you could match teams in the same region as preference and if a team fails to match another in the same region in 2 mins and or queues into the same team 2 or more times they then get queued into teams from other regions. Same with BGs for those less competitive.

Kaivax already understands this. But for some reason he caved to these apes throwing their faeces around. The worst part about all this is that these chimps donāt even know that they donāt know what theyāre talking about. They are actively killing OCE PvP, not saving it.

Name literally one reason why am opt-in system for the NA battlegroup is a bad idea. Iāll wait.
At this current moment we have THE MOST amount of people queueing battlegrounds because it gives good gear and there a BUNCH of boosts. We still had 1 hours wait times on horde for AV and 20-30 minute wait times for av/wsg when it was oceanic only during prime time. You honestly canāt say that we are able to maintain a 24/7 bgs community with appropriate queue times with just oceanic thatās just stupid.
Not only that but arenas thrive on HUGE player pools we could be seeing 8-9 glad spots a season, which is downright disgusting and not a viable arena ladder which means they will but us in the US battlegroup and if this happens Not a SINGLE oceanic server player will get glad.
WE need a toggle so I can queue into US teams and watch as nearly every oceanic player ends up turning it on.

Relax- People exaggerated the ms man, kiting is and always will be easy for someone who is a decent player.
Iām in regional Aus and the highest ping I have seen so far is 150, very playable and worth it for more competition and faster queues.

Good stuff blizz. Although we still have many requested questions unanswered like dual spec or fresh serversā¦ yall have been on top of fixing player requested changes.

Why do we need to interact to get arena rating? Just make them 2 separate systems

plz just dont let it become like rank 14 was in classic with manipulation and bulling of the āpvp eliteā demanding how everyone plays the game via match fixing allowing for the arena titles to be brought and sold for real money

Possibly controversial but.
After playing BGs in the 59 bracket, the latency seems fine (yes booster child). The pro of actually having BGs in brackets under 60/70 seems worth to me. Iāve had so much fun pvping in 49 and 59 this weekend, for literally the first time in my entire classic experience. I have missed this so much.
Retail matches OCE with US BGs after 5~ minutes of waiting, correct? What about this change for BGs on TBC i.e. after 5 minutes of waiting in BG queue it matches with US servers. Battlegrounds arenāt ranked/rated and having a little latency vs. waiting ages for queues is worth to me.
For arena though, keep it separate. OCE has its own little ranking etc.
Genuine suggestion, thoughts are genuinely welcome. I would absolutely love this change. Please let me know what you guys think

Yeah nah look here listen mate this is straya we donāt need no rules or arena here the lightning cracks over cane fields and the fights are never fair and all I know is thereās an open-world ffa arena literally a hop skip and a jump away from the arena-master right next to a peekaboo objective-based buncha huts so who needs instances hey weāll be boofin with the boys there like top blokes rather than afking in shatt having a whinge.
So if youāre up for tiffin like youāre out the front of mooseheads pissed as at 3am in the morning or sneaking through netherstorm like its fair-dinkum redfern in the 90s getting ready for a punch on then a little harmless queue is good for ya like a couple of of winnie blues just have a quick smoko mate and a cold vb to start your day while youāre waitin for your ute to warm up sheāll be right mate.
So if them big-wig blizzard pollies ever show themselves in our neck of the woods again tell em theyāre a few stubbies short of a six-pack and theyāre dreaming mate, come here again and weāll deck ya weāre gonna make Cronulla look like a kindergartens birthday gathering and put a sock in it before saying something again.
