I wasted my money on this garbage expansion due to the hype. I also bought this expansion because it was the only rememberance of world of warcraft before classic was released. It was the only thing i had.
Now that classic is out, and im decked out in raid gear and enjoy it more, i will not be making the same mistake with shadowlands. Don’t get me wrong. If the reviews for Shadowlands are amazing (and i mean AMAZING, not good, or “ok”, AMAZING) i might buy it and give my rogue another chance. But i will never ever be fooled by blizzard again to buy one of their expansions unless they prove to me that their incompetence has gone and they make something worth my money.
I will gladly let all of my rare achievements and mogs go to waste. I will gladly let all of my mounts and memories from retail go down the toilet. I will play classic for the remainder of my days if blizzard doesn’t make a good expansion. I refuse to pay blizzard for garbage expansions with horrible class design and gearing.
If shadowlands has any of the following, i will never buy it:
ANY sort of artifact grind like a weapon, necklace, etc. ANY sort of resource grind to empower a piece of gear will get an immediate ignore.
If pvp vendors are not announced as a feature and implemented day 1, i will not be buying the expansion ever.
If ALL specializations aren’t good in pvp, (if even a single specialization is bad in pvp), i will not be buying the expansion.
Its time for me to have some standards for blizzard. I’m done giving them second chances and third chances and fourth chances to make a good expansion. I will never buy an expansion day of release again. They must prove to me that they can make something that is good again.
I refuse to pay blizzard for garbage expansions with horrible class design and gearing.
Then unsub. You’re funding development of Shadowlands through your subscription, even if you only play classic. No one here is impressed with your virtue signaling. If you’re actually fed up, then quit (and yes, that includes classic).
I strongly agree that if you don’t think you will enjoy something you should not buy it. That being said, I can almost guarantee there will be a spec that is bad at pvp. I don’t think there has ever been a point where every single spec was good. I hope pvp vendors are a thing, even if the gear only works in pvp. Anima will probably be a similar grind, but the weekly caps should make it better?
Allow me to save you some money and disappointment:
It will have a resource grind. It’s already been announced we will grind for “Anima”.
Although they have gone back on their word on some things, like finally giving us account-wide essences; the chances of this coming back are SERIOUSLY against you. Highly unlikely.
This will NEVER be done. It is childish and unrealistic to expect this. For too many reasons to mention right now. But yeah, you can go ahead and not return my friend. None of these 3 will be happening.
