ironforge.pro doesnt use census addons, it uses a combination of auctionhouse data and warcraft logs. Its not perfect, but it does provide a good snapshot of the general balance of active, endgame players, which is all i really find relevant personally.
Manual /whos fail on any even remotely populated server because of the cap of 50 on a given search result.
Nah don’t take a stand, just uninstall. Nobody likes whiners anyway.
I’m j/k.
Try joining a guild that will help you if you are camped. Work together and communicate. Even with 2 alliance for every 8 horde, the server pops are generally so high that you can form death squads relatively easily, and even if that death squad gets eaten by a bigger one, I guarantee you will have fun as long as you like PVP.
The issue isn’t PVP, it’s PVP without any give and take.
Not when you do /who of every lvl, they typically do not cap out unless the server is a mega pop server. And that’s the reason those sites aren’t accurate, because they don’t use the census addons which were broken and the only accurate way of testing. You’re right the other way isn’t perfect, it is incomplete data so you shouldn’t be making comments like it is.
You can easily do /who 21, /who 22, etc. Only a few lvls on Benediction for example capped out. And that is a high pop server. “even remotely populated” is not a true remark either. You obviously haven’t done /who like I have.
How many truly active players do you believe fail to list a single auction on any of their characters (bankers included) in a 2 week period? Its actually a quite effective way of getting general population data.
I suggest joining or making a guild that can band together and go clear out some zones. Join forces with another guild and fight back. It’s not impossible. I am guessing you would rather have something to complain about though. Carry on…
I have a guild? We would like to transfer. As a guild.
Why do you care that we want to transfer? We arent on your server. We wont be transferring to your server. It literally affects you in zero tangible way.
Important note: only players seen on [Warcraft Logs] are available!
Because of this, real distribution may not be accurate
Ironforge.pro literally has this at the top of their website. And like I said man, I’ve personally done many /whos on several different servers. And they do not cap out at 50 if you do it right like you said, unless it is a mega pop server. My way has hard numbers, your website is literally conjecture at best and the website even has a disclaimer saying that it only uses people that actively use warcraft logs.
They started crawling ah logs via booty bay gazette fairly recently, it was discussed about a week ago. But I mean, believe what you wanna. I find the numbers fairly accurate.
If allowing people free transfers to PVE realms get’s them out of the fetal position to where they can play again I am all for it. Go to a PVE realm and allow the rest of us to deal with it. I seriously don’t know why you people roll on PVP realms to begin with. After 14 years I would think you could have learned your lessons by now.
nah, we’ll just go to a more balanced, less overpopulated pvp server. But again I have to wonder why that bothers you so deeply? I played on Stonemaul-pvp in vanilla and had a blast. This overpopulated, imbalanced mess is no vanilla.
Your ignorance was on full display when you stated WPVP died at or before Lich King. You will transfer, get killed and camped and come right back to the forums. This phase will pass. Suck it up and get through it. You will be a better and stronger person for having survived it.
hahahahaha wait, do you really believe that anything that followed wrath was actual, tangible world pvp? even in wrath and bc, world pvp was on life support.
Are you too young to actually remember what early wow was like? Is that whats happening here?
I’m old enough to know that always running from your problems isn’t the solution. Playing the victim card isn’t the solution. Free transfers to a realm where the population can shift quickly isn’t the solution. I was there in Vanilla. I was there for every expansion. What ruined WPVP was people just like you. People who want perfectly balanced fair fights. Ain’t gonna happen. So go to a PVE server or suck it up.
