It’s just not. It’s not a single player experience when you’re playing with 4 other people. It’s impossible to use rdf to get a single player experience. I used to play table tennis. I was never professional level but I was quite good for a non professional. When I was playing the game we never chatted while we batted the ping pong ball back and forth. We focused on fast hits with good spin. I’ve watched basketball games and other sports. When they’re playing you don’t see them chatting. They’re focused on the game. Not just the players with the ball. Even the player farthest away from the ball is totally focused on the game.
What is this obsession some people in wow have with socializing in a dungeon run? I’m focused on playing the game, running that dungeon. I don’t want to stop in the middle of the run and say, “Let me tell you a story about what my dogs did today. It was so funny.” When I’m not running a dungeon I chat with friends or in guild. When I’m questing or farming I’ll stop and chat in general or in lfg channel. If I’m doing a guild run we often get in discord and chat while playing. With discord you can easily do both. But I have no interest in typing/chatting while I’m pugging a dungeon. I’m never in a hurry so I don’t mind if other people chat. But most people most of the time seem to feel the same as me. 99% of the time no one chats in a pug dungeon run.
I want them to come out and set a precedent. Add RDF for leveling dungeons. Let us know no RDF heroics for phase 1 for any classic expansion. No LFR. No Wow Token. I want to continue playing the game ive been enjoying for the last 3 years with no material change in the end game loop. Past Wrath.

When was dual spec added? When was tome of cold weather flight added? When was bg experience added? When was bg queuing from anywhere added?
I could list a hundred more things from Classic, TBC Classic and Wrath Classic. When a system was added has not mattered for the last three years of Classic and still doesn’t…except for RDF.
But actually even that’s not true, because according to Blizzard RDF will NEVER be included in Wrath Classic.
RDF for heroics changes nothing. I see no sense in opening it for normals and not heroics. It isn’t like it makes you learn how to make a raid. Opening it up for everyone helps them play the game though. Would you rather someone in full heroic gear that knows how to play their class try to join your guild or someone that can’t get into groups because of no RDF try to join your guild?
They are not. I’m sure a single statistical outlier is there, but in p5 warriors got taken to H MGT. if you run into an issue with the quality of people leading your heroic groups you have the ability to make one yourself.
Noone is trying to gatekeep, and there is no gate to keep just an instance portal anyone can walk into.
Clearly because youre not a player theres noone to know you to miss you!
