You are right, the streamers are influencing their cult. It’s kind of like showing people how to do illegal drugs, enjoying yourself yet saying “don’t do this” as a way to sugar-coat it to the point of being “legal.” They know good and well that 99% of the people who watch them are 12 year olds and at the stage of “monkey see, monkey do”.
I know streamer fans will try to cover things up by screaming “conspiracy theory” but we weren’t born yesterday.

This is correct.
There are myths out there that streamers are the ones who hyped or are even the reason we have classic. People are desperate to give their cult leaders credit for other people’s things.

Obviously people who tried the exploit a couple times to see how it worked aren’t going to be punished like the people who did it for days to gain thousands of gold.

correlation does not equal causation. the game’s hype could have driven twitch hype just as easily as the other way around. and they could also just as easily not be related or both be driven by a third factor.

Wow, nice lynch mob. When the Esfand occurrence happened, the exploit/bug wasn’t as well knows as it has become over the past 24 hrs. Esfand did his due diligence and did not proceed until after he was given the OK to proceed by Blizzard. (It’s also not a stretch to assume it was just Blizzard support and not Blizzard “shot callers”) Which is more than 99% of the player base would have done in the same situation. He did exactly what he should do to the “T”. He should not be banned and he should keep whatever loot he received.

i realize meaningful reading comprehension is lost on you, but i never made any actual factual claim like you did. If i did make a factual claim, i would provide supporting evidence because I understand that a claim without evidence is very weak.

Esfand, he ran into a bug, contacted blizz, blizz said they can clear it.
Lore posted in another thread stating this was the case and anyone, not just streamers, won’t be banned if it was unintentional, but the people here say the CM is lying and giving special treatment even though he said, “everyone who wasn’t exploiting”

imo Lore shouldnt have even mentioned Esfand - just added fuel to his fire and hes the only name listed so people are now with hunting him wether the investigation comes back that he did nothing wrong or if he is punished as the investigation may not even be concluded… its quite hard to beleive that while all this is going on and people are exploiting the shlt out of layers and raids and dungeons, nobody in the raid new that somehow someone actively reset the raid to clear it again… - the whole raid could end up being punished
