“I like the game, but a few QoL changes doesn’t hurt anything.”
This is the venom injected into the game that has left retail a writhing PoS. “Just a few changes…” is a slippery slope. It is why we have the hot garbage that is BFA.
Classic should not become an alternate timeline that we go back to to try and change the course of the game in. It should be a time capsule to what was arguably the greatest time in the indisputable greatest MMORPG.
Cata for many was the beginning of the end, but MoP was pretty awesome.
However, WoD was the start of a steep decline and the game has never recovered from it. I know lots of people liked Legion, but compared to anything that came before WoD, it was
I do not trust this dev team to do anything right. Turn them loose on Classic and it too, will soon get frankensteined into some weird Diablo3/WoW hybrid.
They cannot even make classes work properly! Hunters and their pets: numerous problems; Rogues; the same; Warriors: OH gets no hit penalty? REALLY? Not a bug? PUHLEEZE; Priest bubble inconsistent… the list goes on.
Honestly I don’t think there’s anyone at Blizzard now who even knows how the game worked back then. Having to rely on guesswork and dev notes from 15 years ago has gotten us where we are now.
Don’t forget the non 1.12 mount/training costs. This one is a big stinker if you want to own more than 1 epic mount or switch later. Their defense of it was that it was done for “preparation” of BC, but this is also true for all the end game nerfs, which they still did, as oppose to original unnerfed content. In other words, they are hypocritical and cherry picking what to do or not do, rather than picking a side and sticking with it. If they want to go with pre 1.12 values to be more true to the classic experience, then this should also apply to dungeon, raids, and battlegrounds. You could argue for old talent trees as well, but changing all of these a dozen times would understandably be too much work.
So… let me get this right. Just because there’s a good discussion about it and people want to see something happen, that… because of you, there should be no changes.
Yeesh. I’m curious, what’s your thoughts on slavery and global warming?
the context is changing the game…I dont need to understand past that because if you want changes they have a version for you its CALLED RETAIL…heck it even changes names from MoP to WoD to BFA
I’m 100% behind you on the cross server dungeon ques. I think that would add nothing but positive benefits to classic wow. I’m going to start a topic for doing that and that alone i hope you and everyone else wanting cross realm dungeons will come to my thread and back me in trying to convince blizzard to implement that
