I have had conversations and mine have almost been 100% against any changes. The reason for no changes is that Blizzard wants Classic to be close to Vanilla as they can get it. Changes would make it not classic. Which would lead to different game. There could be the argument for other servers to house these changes but as it stands that’s not on the table which leaves the changes to be put in Classic. Which is a resounding no.
Kk. I’ll do your own looking up for you. Because people are too lazy to do a damn thing themselves these days. Refuse to listen and also expect people to do sh** for you because you refuse to listen or look into things. There is no helping some people.
Which is exactly why Blizzard did this. How is this so hard to understand? The changes that were made were Blizzard’s to make, and most relate to technical infrastructure.
<== Classic+ or TBC or whatever are [maybe, hopefully?] over there
Retail is over there ==>
Classic WoW, the time capsule, is here: .
Exactly. Classic is so that people can relive Vanilla as closely as they can make it. Relive, not remake into something different.
Except I’ve looked. I’ve watched all of the interviews, have been around the community for some time, and followed the updates for at least a year before launch, and I have not found a single trace of them saying this.
If you want to discredit me saying this, prove it. Otherwise your comment is moot, and you’re lying. You’re the one that brought up that supposedly you had proof. The onus is on you to deliver that proof.
You’re also stating that 100% of your conversations have been with righteous no-changers, and your whole server must be full of these people who want this game as a museum piece!
Yeah, no bud, I don’t buy that, either. You’re making fantastical statements.
#Nochanges has been a meme for quite some time.
K, sit here with your false claims cupcake. Everyone telling you otherwise is wrong because you say so. You claim they never said this and yet provide zero proof of that too. It works both ways if that’s your only argument. Gotcha. Brb then.
Everyone? Oh, you mean only you? You’re the only one that made this specific claim about what the devs said. You’re everyone now? Still waiting on proof.
almost 100% is not 100%. There is no absolutes when it comes to people opinions. You are misquoting so that you can rant now, which only further proves my point.
Everyone that says otherwise. Yet again only taking part of what I have said out of context…
out of context? lmao, No. I’ve been asking you for proof of this since my first reply, you’re the one backpedaling in a panic saying it’s out of context now.
Edit: Also did you seriously ask me for proof there’s a lack of something? lmao alright done. Look, I didn’t find it. There’s my proof. Your turn.
I am not in a panic in the least. You are clearly taking out of context and using parts of what was said. I said everyone that that tells you otherwise. Which would mean everyone that tells you blizzard did not say they would change. Which would indeed mean exactly what I said. It in no way said everyone for no changes said that. You are pretty… sad.
Did you or did you not say this?
Edit: That’s what I thought.

That’s something, anyway.

(The joke, of course, being a reference to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.)
Most of these things were in vanilla. The only thing of consequence that wasn’t is layering.
I agree that patch progression would have been more authentic, but what we get is 1.12 with staggered content releases. Still the most authentic vanilla experience you can get.
And let’s stop kidding ourselves with this silly “but there’s already changes” strawman. This doesn’t change the goal of Classic, which is an authentic vanilla experience. The goal is to get as close to that as possible and additional changes would only detract from that.
Thank you. This is an interview I actually haven’t seen. I’m going to watch through the whole video now, to make sure all the context is correct.
You’re welcome. I can’t stand it when people refuse to source their claims, and it doesn’t matter which side of an argument they’re on.
Any change suggestion can be answered with the response to this simple question:
Why is this change essential to the vanilla experience?
You’ll find that all change suggestions fall apart when asking this.
Yes, this. This is exactly what I was saying in my posts. I don’t care who is wrong or right, I just wanted a source for the claims, and you’ve given it to me.
You demand I go get the proof and then respond to yourself as if I answered by not responding? Which do you want, me here talking to you or gathering proof? As is, I have found early articles (both news sites and player statements) reffering to blizzards promise to no changes until possibly long term if it’s successful. Looking for where they all gathered that from atm, most likely in a video which means imma be watching a bunch.
