Nobody in the dev team for WoW cares about Lore anymore

Who better to learn to harness and keep Fel in control than a being born of light? Y’all act like you’ve never done anything wrong for the right reasons.

In a world where there are few Dreani lightforged this is a social rejected and that could mean death like other societies there are rules for peaceful coexistence .

It’s a mix. Some of them don’t care, others outright hate everything that came before them. Their derision is palpable in the desecration they have committed.
I think the only one that actually still cares is probably Samwise, but he has no real power over anything anymore. The hatefuls probably despise him as much as they dislike the lore.

This game is not cannon lore though. It is considered legends lore. You want the game to be 100% realistic according to lore then it would be terrible because you would only be able to do each raid only once and on only one difficulty. The raid boss once defeated would be dead and gone forever.

It is an MMO. Other games you can have way better realism. Not in an MMO. You want real lore that is 100% realistic then none of our faction leaders would be sitting there in the same spot waiting to give out low level quests and then waiting the for opposite faction to raid them to get a black bear mount.

RTS games and Dungeon Crawl games do lore better. MMOs simply cannot be loyal to the lore.

Question… who were two of the most powerful warlocks in the Universe? Oh I know!

Archimonde and Kil’Jaden! Guess what? They were both DRAENAI BEFORE THEY BECAME WARLOCKS AND EVENTUALLY DEMON OVERLORDS OF NEARLY UNFATHOMABLE POWER! WEEEEEEE!

There’s always been Warlocks. Always will be… ALSO! Surviving Draenai who fled from the legion in various quest lines through out BC up to current WoW have betrayed their own kind and become evil or become Warlocks.

The game never had any good lore. It literally rode in on WC3’s coattails.

I want Eredar Draenei to come into lore first before they can become warlocks and have only that version of them be warlocks. As an allied race. Already stated in lore why the Draenie refuse to deal with demons.

What?

Eredar is the race of Draenai who symbolically renamed to Draenai (The Exiled Ones). They are still Eredar… Just like Blood Elves are renamed High Elves. There’s no difference. Much of the Eredar died, or accepted becoming demons w/ the Legion. Some Fled w/ Velen to avoid the Legion. However, there’s still many instances of those “Draenai” turning into Warlocks, practicing Fel Magic etc… It’s all supported in game already.

We don’t need fully consumed demonic red versions of the Eredar/Draenai to justify having Draenai Warlocks.

It’s amazing how all of these lore buffs who want to be so pure w/ lore willingly ignore lore and probably don’t even know much of it.

Yea we do actually. So many of the old knights of Lordaeron were former paladins before they fell by the Scourge. You dont see any forsaken paladins though even though they are the same race. Forsaken are humans. Many human paladins, zero forsaken paladins.

Right. But as the player character who is saving the planet ten times over, I don’t think people will mind. Besides: Demon Hunters, other Warlocks (especially Orcs?) all exist. Thrall got over it. So will Velen.

Love how folk complain about the lore and don’t know it.

?

That’s totally different. The Scourge were killed, abandoned by the light and forged w/ undeath and shadow magic. Also, w/ the new lore, undead are now being forged w/ light instead of undeath and shadow magic, which is how we’ll get undead pallys in the future im sure.

The Eredar (Draenai) that still live uncorrupted can still practice being Warlocks w/ out turning into full-fledged Red Demons. Just like humans, dwarves, blood elves, etc can all be locks w/ out being fully consumed and turned into demons.

You are embracing a notion of a perfect world I don’t think that would work since sentient beings are defiant .

actually, no. you might not like it, but a lot of studios look at blizzard employees as a “oh, you’re the real deal” sort of thing. You can be a new designer on WoW compensated at ~100k/year, then get headhunted for a 50-100% pay increase. (and these are real numbers)

Okay yes, but I still want Eredar as a playable allied race. In lore way longer than the lighforged ever were. I dont want the broken as a playable race, those are like lepers.

Yea, I’m not saying we cant have a red option, just saying there’s already draenai locks in lore and always have been w/ out going full red eredar version.

IMO RED Eredar should just be a skin option for draenai and not an allied race.

I haven’t ever given them money, sorry.

Plenty are finding out now, plenty more in the next 10 years.

They shouldn’t, it’s a red flag. Can’t even think of one ex-blizz employee that made a hit game.

I like turtles.

Metzen is back on as lore advisor. He signs off on new lore added.
