Having no dual spec just means that the game is an extra grind for healers and tanks, lowering the amount of players that want to play those roles, which harms everyone.
Many people enjoy the grind
Hint: lolno.
They work for activist.
Or do you think they actually play the game… and dont want to have dual spec? lol…
“you dont even know bro, when i get done tanking THE ABSOLUTE VERY BEST PART OF SWAPPING TO DPS iis farkin paying GOLD BRO… then the next day when I go do heroics again… I JUST FARKIN SING THE WHOLE WAY TO THE TRAINER.”
If everyone can do everything, no one will want to do anything. Retail already exists. Keep Classic as far away from it as we can. Fight every change. If we don’t, soon we’ll just have Retail 2.0
This is what worries me. I have no problem with small changes that keep the integrity of game design in tact. But there are obviously people playing TBC (for who knows what reason) that fundamentally don’t like the game design and who want to influence the devs to change the game in fundamental ways. They’re quite happy to push for changes that seem small and promote them as “small inconsequential qol changes” but it won’t stop there.
These people don’t like or understand the game design philosophy of games like TBC and games of that generation. They will push for one thing and on getting it will push for more and more - because they don’t actually like the game.
Improve is a strong word for something like this.
Sorry, had to fix that for you.
Because I’m faster on my mage. I legit clear SM cath in 4 minutes. And regardless both classes can clear in under 12 minutes which causes you to have to sit around for lock out anyways
Basically that is not at all their mentality any more - except for when they change their mind for a specific retail system - and their approach to making changes for “the health” of Classic has been inconsistent at best.
How is being able to pvp or tank dungeons for my friends rushing the content?
Shhh! SHHH!!
The sweaty fast food server who is fighting his cockroaches for food is telling you you’re rushing the content. You’re supposed to feel a sense of accomplishment and achievement for your wasted time.
Being able to switch your talents without hearthing and getting summoned back to the dungeon ruins the game.
Yea blizzard some of us want Quad Spec only losers want dual or triple spec.
I just gotta say, do you really expect people to go farm everytime they want to que for a bg or arena?
What if all your pve players just decided they were all going to raid as pvp specs “because every choice matters”?
Get off your high horse, add dual spec and stop crying, as thats the only reason people seem to NOT want dual spec.
Lets not act like 90% of the players are not following a meta talent build anyways.
Throwing my support for #somechanges with adding dual-spec!
I’m even ok with a compromised version such that it still costs the normal respec costs, but adds QoL making it trivially easy to swap (that is hot bars, talents, etc).
I already have addons that swap gear and hot-bars (when it wants to work anyway), but it is still annoying to have to go click through all the talents each time I want to respec (several times miss-clicking and ending up with a talent or two out of order because I’m too cheap to pay another 50g to redo for one talent).
If addons exist to simplify the process anyway, why not build it into the base UI and make it even more streamlined? If the argument is that “it’s a gold sink” and your “choices should have consequences and you have to pay to reverse them” then fine, leave the cost untouched…just make it trivially easy for me to swap back and forth at 50g a pop!
while we’re adding changes lets also add the following:
achievements:i mean what is the harm? it’s not like it impacts gameplay or anything by offering rewards…
make only the first 2 spell pushbacks have a effect on spells. (this was a change added in 3.0.2)
consolidate spell damage and spell healing into a single stat spellpower. this would not impact gameplay in any meaningful way.
allow entangling roots, feral swiftness to be used indoors.
remove hurricane’s cooldown.
add in revive for druids.
make swipe an aoe range attack.
remove mana regen penalties for druids.
allow remove curse to be used in tree form.
add haunt for warlocks.
and on and on and on.
i could keep going but i became bored adding in all the stuff you people want added that was added in wrath from wrath into tbcc.
Except, of course, that most of that actually does impact the game play.
But, you knew that.
Would you be willing to extend the argument and argue for dual classes? It’s the same rationale.
the only reason I even want dual spec is so I can respec arms for pvp and farming, it’s not a massive deal for me because in my eyes it’s dual spec for pvp or just not do pvp at all, costs way too much money for me, and the gear I have for my arms set is so crappy it’s not worth the 100g respec cost every time. if they just added dual spec and made it cost like 2-3k maybe even 4k gold I’d buy it. if they don’t well that sucks but that’s how it is.
