No, We Don't All Want Dual-Spec Added to BC

Just wanted to post a gentle reminder that, generally speaking, happy, content players don’t visit or post on the forums as often as those who are upset or who want to continually ask for changes.

Dual Spec is added later in the progression. Why rush and ruin the game as it was intended to be at this point?

There is a way to change one’s spec already. It may not be cheap or convenient, but those are not sufficient reasons to change Burning Crusade and cheapen the characters we all spent a GREAT deal of time planning, leveling, and implementing.

Don’t hate on me for wanting to play the game the way it was designed at this point in time.

A bit late for that. The, “ruin the game changes” train has already left the station.

They already rushed and ruined the game, gotta go all out and just give the changes players want

I agree, I want dual spec. Has little to no downside from my perspective.

I really believe making the choice to spend the gold on a re spec is a core mechanic of the game.

It would have a massive impact.

But yet paid boosts allows to skip 70% of the grind already while killing dungeon leveling from low levels…

It’s your opinion and that’s okay but it’s a bit disconnected from reality.

People just don’t like choices that actually matter, they want all options available at all times with no inconvenience at all.

Blizzard should make a version of wow thats just a gigantic button that says You win when you press it, then you can only press it once a week and you unlock different tiers of messages for each week that you progress, but you can also purchase special tokens that allow you to get the advanced messages earlier.

The downside is now you’re rolling on loot in dungeons for two “main” specs. Because a spec change is just a button click away.

If you thought gear drama was a pain before this, it gets way worse after.

Seriously, you guys aren’t thinking. every time you ask Blizzard to change something, you’re rolling the dice on a good/bad outcome. Retail proved that they don’t have any idea what is good and what is bad for the game.

The idea that just because some changes have been made that they should just go all out ( this is how Retail happened ) is ludicrous.
We should ALL be extremely suspicious of any changes they propose to make. We may not have “pure” Classic, but we don’t have the mess that is Retail either.

Dual spec is just laziness. Entitled players want it because it makes the game easier. That’s exactly why it’s bad. FFS grow up.

I want dual spec.

Spec 1 for raiding.
Spec 2 for farming.

Saves me that initial 100g when I respec weekly.

One WoW Classic token please.

Need to buy more boosts from the mages.

Just like with flying, if you are against dual spec, you do not need to use it.

You’re lucky, I respec at least every other day on my warrior…sigh

Pally boosts are better, especially at low level.

Don’t know why anyone buys SM boosts from a mage tbh. Mages can still die in SM. Paladins are pretty much immune to death (the mobs can’t even hit them) unless they let their shield break.

That was always a dumb point re: flying

Players will always take convenience even if they acknowledge it is bad for the game. It’s up to Blizzard to protect the integrity of the game by not implementing a whole bunch of retail QoL changes.

Seriously… go play Retail if you want to morph TBC into that garbage.

Dual spec is fine at this point with me. I was vehemently against dual spec and basically any other change you can think of for the most part. I even thought chronoboon was ridiculous.

Want to know why it’s fine? This game is already past the slippery slope. If you would’ve told us all the “features” we would’ve had in TBC on the day one of classic launch there would be mass outcry and protest and you all know that deep down. We’ve been slowboiled like a frog in a pot of water.

I quickly came to the realization that I am done with world of warcraft after TBC. I am going to enjoy every moment I can of this and I enjoyed and logged many many many hours in classic. I had a good time.

I however didn’t really enjoy WOTLK in the original game, and I really don’t want to play WOTLK with boosts paid store mounts and the fact that everyone meta games the game into the dirt everyone will be human death knights for obvious reasons.

Now put in the fact that faction balance is definitely going to be at retail levels by then and the WPVP and PVP in general is just bad in wrath in my opinion…yeah…

I am most definitely going to just find a new game to play. So go ahead and add dual spec. It’s already too far gone. That was realized long ago and cemented when they added horde v horde merc mode. It quite literally started the domino of my server’s faction dying and us all having to transfer off. Now I don’t even have a community of people I played with from day 1 for 2 years anymore. This might as well be retail.

There are enough underskilled and under geared tanks and healers. Adding Dual Spec will add more.

“I can come tank, I have a shield, and dual spec’d into Prot.”

I have nightmares of this.
