No Reason Why The Slime Cat Shouldn't Be In LFR

Lawl

Right on. Listen to the bad takes of ridiculous idiot doomers such as Bellular if you like. I’m sure that developing a text game circa 1994 style qualifies him in ways that the rest of us who are gaming in 2022 will never be able to grasp.

Still 100% trashy move on Blizzard’s part to not even officially document the hotfix changing the achievement from “ANY” to “Normal or higher” when they claim to care about communicating so hard right now.

Always going to wonder, if that thread about S4 didn’t have someone asking about the Slime Saber would LFR have just kept the reward? It sat on live servers saying ANY for months.
The change only happened after that one seemingly innocent question.

For me, it’s not the difficulty, it’s the time commitment. I can’t guarantee that I’ll have an uninterrupted 2-3 hours of playtime. I’d love to get the Slime Cat, but I’m SoL. I wish Blizz would split the raids into wings like they do for LFR, so we can take them at manageable chunks, timewise. Apply the same logic they do when they split mega-dungeons into two mythic+ halves.

Funny thing, they did this back in MoP and then got rid of it almost immediately for some reason.
It was great because you could queue for a wing, kill 3 bosses and then walk away.

You’re right. How silly of me. I play tic Tac toe professionally, therefore I know what I’m talking about when I talk about AWC and MDI.

<----my joke.

<----your head.

Plenty of hotfixes and changes don’t get any official recognition from a blue. Why should it be more important this time?

The fact I literally posted a picture showing that it did indeed say that up til a DAY BEFORE THE SEASON and y’all are still coming in here with “It never said that, it always said Normal!” makes me so annoyed.

It literally said that. I posted pictures. There is photographic proof.

Im gunna be honest… it probably takes less time to do a full normal run, then a full lfr run

yes.

now click on the achievements that are part of the meta.

Those always said normal.

I don’t give a flip what the actual meta ever said, I care about the context of the achievements that comprise it. People made assumptions without checking the facts, it’s their own fault they’re upset.

This is also false.
They said “any difficulty” up until the Monday evening before Season 4 started.

I think partly because of the hundreds, possibly thousands of posts including in the CC forums asking about this before and after the change.
Ignoring the situation isn’t winning Blizzard any points with their players.

that MIGHT work… maybe… just maybe.

so like, the world bosses have that auto que auto join thing.
players come in and once there is a viable group comp (1 tank 1 heals and 3-7 dps) the group pulls. and its fine.

so my thought, which Bliz would prob have to set up to test is:

Have normal Fated Raids have a section with the auto join section show up.
have the set up to reserve 2 tank slots and 3 heal slots. with the rest of the slots being open to ANY spec.

it might be a fiesta. you might get 5 tanks in the group
you might see 2 heals or 10 heals.

but that’s about it, the group forms via automation.
the neat thing about it (*if it works) is people will leave if they dont like the comp and the auto fill will replace them.
but even more interesting is people will see that mess and since the auto fill got them there already, they will just yolo form their own group.

just have all the groups running show up in the list that the auto fill group shows up in.

OR all that really needs to happen is have that button show up that players click and it automatically shows them the list of groups running (and not the ones saying they are gold selling runs/ slots)

Create your own group and invite the first people that sign, same thing you are describing and the same way people did World bosses btw.

Why put it in LFR when they can just mail it to everyone?

I agree that is pretty damn annoying but that might be the reason they’re doing it.

No. They. Didn’t.

I LITERALLY posted pictures of those achievements as well.

The meta said clear the raid. No difficulties listed. When you clicked through to the individual ones, they said ANY difficulty. Feel free to go look at my community council post cause I’m not linking the pictures a 3rd time here.

And if they aren’t in the OP check further in the thread. I posted all the pictures.

And to be frank I’m not responding to people about this any more. There’s photographic evidence. If you want to believe the forum trolls who tell you otherwise feel free. We know it said ANY difficulty. Blizzard knows it said ANY difficulty. There’s even a wowhead article about the silent change.

It gets to the point where you just have to ignore them. Well, it’s not required but you can tell their goal is trolling and/or just being nasty, not to have a discussion so I ignore them.

So far Bewa is the only one I can debate this with.

Why shouldn’t LFR players get rewards?

You understand what the concept of a bait and switch is right? And why it’s unethical?

Effectively telling someone they can do X for months, only to yank X away at the last moment is exactly that. I know people who literally resubbed to WoW because they thought the slime cat would be available in LFR as that’s their chosen raid difficulty. They are now out of pocket $15 with nothing to show for it. They got baited, and then Blizzard switched out the rewards (or rather took them away) at the last minute.

These were players who were contemplating returning for Dragonflight as well, but this absolutely scummy behaviour has caused them to change their mind. To them, they see the same old Blizzard, the company that doesn’t respect their players time, and they’re not putting up with it. They’re gone.

You know there’s plenty of people who don’t come here to complain right? I’m glad they are ignoring these children having a temper tatrum on their forums.
