The person that created this thread has the mount. You can still have the mount and think Blizzard did a really scummy thing.

Why should LFR get raiding rewards when it comes to any raiding?
Itâs a story mode.
Blizzard never told anyone LFR was awarding the mount.
People making assumptions over an achievement is not Blizz saying âLFR awards slimecatâ
I mean, did you read my opening post? I have the mount. You can view my armory collections and mounts and search for it. Same with achievements.

Yes, they did. For months they had achievement text that said âany difficultyâ. Sorry, but when something says âanyâ it means exactly that, âanyâ. Especially when other achievements that are for normal mode or higher specifically say âDo X on normal mode or higherâ.
Now had they corrected it early. Say, within a week of the achievement being in the live game. Then that can be hand-waved away as a mistake or an oversight. A simple statement saying: âHey folks, we accidently put the wrong text on this achievement and it was meant to say ânormal mode or higherâ as the Slime Cat wonât be available in LFR.â then that would be 100% fine. Sure there would still be some salty people, but outside of those salty people it wouldnât have generated as much outrage as it did.
But they did not do that.
Instead they let that achievement sit there as it was for months, let players believe for months that the slime cat would be available on âanyâ difficulty, as the achievement clearly said âcomplete the raids on any difficultyâ. Only to go and pull the rug 5 days before the season was due to start by saying: âNormal mode or higher, it wonât be in LFR.â then, despite multiple threads pushing hard for them to honor what the achievement said and not screw over LFR players, instead of listening to them, they wait for 1 day before the Season goes live to stealth-hotfix the achievements so they say âNormal mode or higher.â which effectively gave all LFR players the finger.
Thatâs not okay. Period. And I guarantee you if they changed it to mythic only and ripped the reward away from normal, heroic and LFR, youâd probably be complaining as well, especially since the achievements, again, said âany difficultyâ.

The simple fact is you said people want to log on and get mailed rewards and then after I called you out on being dishonest because this thread never implied or said that you âfixedâ it to âok fine you shouldnât be able to get everything from RFâ which again this thread never implied or said that.
Then you tried to do some tap-dancing nonsense to justify yourself, for what reason I have no idea, then you two start talking about me like Iâm not in the room.

Thatâs blizzardâs loss and Iâm guessing that the erstwhile LFR-only players who find Normal raids doable, enjoyable and rewarding and who would not stagnate in LFR will offset them.
Hopefully Blizzard will never announce a reward without emphasising even more that rewards on the PTR and in text on the Achievements page are subject to change
I mean, I guess itâs obvious but perhaps some people believe that a company is obliged to never make any change to any game feature once announced.
Your take has been for the past three weeks that this will get people to raid more, they will see that pugging and/or normals isnât that bad and it will encourage them to find a guild.
Do you have anything to back this up or are you just being contrary? My opinion is people that hated raiding before the Slime Cat will still hate raiding and they wonât raid past the required three weeks. I base this opinion on my own experience. Pugging was a nightmare.

My opinion, bolstered by the number of normal raids roling 24x7 and the numerous threads by happy and surprised players who did Normal raids and found them much easier and more pleasant than expected, is that many LFR players had preconceived misconceptions about the unfriendliness and difficulty of Normal raids and have been disabused of them because the reward was gated behind Normals.
If people hate raiding and continue to hate raiding they can abstain or bite the pillow for the cosmetic, time limited rewards gated behind Normal raids that I hope Blizzard continues to do. Itâs an excellent way to increase participation in the group-based non-autoqueue portion of the game and to shrink the autoqueue-only portion of the game.

Well yes, and even as I said in my opening, the raids on normal are far more easier (because of the many nerfs for each one AND having double leggoâs available and the buffs the fated affix gives).

Ya thats straight up BS. Iâm sure a handful of LFR only players have taken the plunge and tried pugging but not the many you claim. There are countless complains of LFR only people trying to get into Pug normal raids and being declined because their 260ish ilvl is too low and those who got in the horror stories of the pugs and people constantly leaving.
The main issue for most LFR only people is they canât commit to 2 to 3 hours of straight uninterrupted time but they can commit to 1 hour of uninterrupted time.
And to my prior point, for many people who only do LFR for raiding they simply cannot do a raid because they do not have 2 to 3 hours of uninterrupted time to spare. For various reasons such as children to other issues at hand.
They can however commit to 1 hour of uninterrupted time and most stick to M+ and can knock out High M+20 keys.
The issue for them is no one will take them on pug runs because they would need to leave in an hour. Then they need to find another pug group, wait for it to fill, maybe kill 1 or 2 bosses then need to leave because of IRL. Itâs nigh impossible for them to raid outside LFR wings yet they can do M+ 20âs or Gladiator Rating in PvP.
The Slime cat should be available through LFR (Or if Blizzard comes out and says the Slime cat will still be available after the expansion in Dragonflight and you just need to activate the Fated Console this would be a null issue but that is extremely unlikely to happen) and give normal some title like âOf the Jelly Catâ or something silly.

No they didnât. People making an assumption based on one achievement is not Blizzard advertising or making an official statement that LFR would award the slimecat.
It doesnât matter when they correct it. They corrected it before it went live.
Anything on ptr is subject to change as well as players made assumptions as there was no official announcement.

I think it should have been available in RF because they are the ones that messed up and misled people, not the other way around. Then they could have announced that from now on season 4 mounts rewards will be normal and higher only.
This is about customer service and they dropped the ball and completely mishandled it. Also, they made this huge deal about communicating with the community more but the way they slinked around like a thief says that they are not changing their ways.
