You jumped off this by not understanding what I said or not reading it at all. You’re now going nowhere. I’ve had and been a hunter since Vanilla and used them in end game content in all but two expansions that I was not here for. (three technically but I hit the tail end of Legion.)
They do not need to maintain a split paradigm. I’m saying they could literally do what they’re doing now without removing hunter pets like they are and using our pets in place of the eagle.
That they’re removing pets and not using our pets is stupid indeed.
They don’t need to remove peoples abilities for a meta.
They can literally just make that the base effect. This isn’t about Talents at all.
It should be the basis not a glyph. You’re a Hunter. You have pets that is part of the class. You don’t want pets go play a non-pet class.

And how many times over the years have people said the forums or discord don’t represent the majority . Most people say the majority are those that don’t come to the forums or use Discord for other then guild purposes.

Balancing 
When has Blizz been ever able to balance this game .
A drunk , one legged blind clown juggling running chain saws on a highwire could probably balance better then they could .
Just give us the tools to play the game then get out of our way and let us determine on how balanced we our by our own choices .
I bet if they just got out of our way , we’d balance ourselves out by improving our game play with the choices we make .
THis whole balance bs sounds like " Oh help us we need you to hold our hands to play "
Screw that dump the box of puzzle pieces on the table and let us put it together .
Give us the abilities, the gear , the pets (if used by class) and then just get out of our way and work on the next bit of content and gear for the next patch or abilities for the next expansion .

The issue is that when a spec has two playstyles. They have to make both somewhat viable.
The problem with that isn’t you buff hu tee damage to make up for pets lack of damage in aoe you then make lonewolf broken strong.
Considering you and multiple other people in this thread have almost zero basic understanding of the spec I would strongly disagree.

Having your highest normal parse be a 14 shows you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing.
Like I said I’m capable for what I do . I don’t do normals or higher raids any more like I used to now I just do them if the guild is on farm or doing cheevo runs as for Mythics I can’t stand mythic dungeons and I only do mythic level raids when I can solo them for transmog.
Just because I or anyone else doesn’t play at your level doesn’t mean we don’t understand how to play the game . It means we don’t understasnd or care to play at your level and that’s the part that irritates you. You believe people should think and play how you do in regards to the game .

I’ve been doing this lately with Shadowlands raids in between doing Siren’s Isle it’s actually pretty fun to go back and farm stuff on my own just to switch it up a bit, got me a pretty cute dead horse mount (I think it’s dead at least, lol.) from The Nine last night as well.

Of course . His understanding is if you don’t play the way he or others that think like him play , you’re playing the class/spec/game wrong .
They don’t care if Blizz takes away how some people enjoy playing and will never do so until they lose something.
There are multiple ways to make the changes without taking away pets from MM like say making the utilities for the pet inactive when spec’d as MM (maybe leave lust ).
This all is just another case of Blizz going to one extreme or another when dealing with classes and specs . The swing that pendullum far to one side or the other neve letting it settle in the middle to where both sides of the argument can go " Ok we can work with this" .

it’s also been attempted before, in WoD, and in Legion, and both times they tried they had to roll back the change. This time may or may not be different, but lets not pretend either sides speaking for the majority when the majority wont speak until it goes live. The majority isn’t on the forums, or on the discord. They never have been. The majority doesn’t read patchnotes, or play on the PTR, either.
Right? I don’t get it. There were so many easier ways than just removing something. They could be doing exactly what they’re doing now and just not remove the pet, and make that eagle be the pet instead.
I keep pointing out the tech for this on the backend is already there too. Intimidation’s talent Territorial Instincts uses that concept when you don’t have your pet out and you’re MM (Technically all hunters its in the Hunter Class side of Talents but MM gains the most benefit imo) right now.
They could have easily just had the utility moved to the Hunter as they’re doing and had our pets be the ones coming out of the stable to do the ability instead of a random eagle. They could then also just keep the ability to summon the pet for our own reasons or as a tank in solo or whatever.

Correct, time will indeed tell. I have no idea if they’ll actually succeed this time or not, and no one else does either. I just wish people would stop going with the “The majority of X wants” and call it what it actually is. Blizzard is doing what they want, not what the community wants.

Blizzard is fixing the major issues that have been an issue for MM for years. That’s what the majority have wanted.
We’ll see what happens when it goes live and the casuals, who are the actual majority, get their hands on it.
