Dragonriding is still the most popular flying choice, now that TBC flying is a thing.

While I don’t see it very often, I do see it on occasion, namely myself. I’ll use it on occasion. Although my guildie had to use it the other week because a medication he was on would give him motion sickness trying to dragonride. I had to ferry him for Tindral that week.

There is no such thing as “TBC flying”. There is normal flying and there is dragonriding. “TBC flying” is seethe and cope from people who want normal flying removed from the game for some reason.

Well. The thing to remember is the forums are a very, very small minority of the game. People often come to the forums wanting something, or feeling something has to be changed, which is fine in the grand scheme of things. But that’s why we see complaining, or begging for things, much more than we see just actual discussion.

I use vanilla flying when finding treasures or going less than a 100 yards or 2. I use dragonflying to go larger distances.

If I could get 930% flight speed with regular flying, I wouldn’t touch Dragonriding anymore, except for the race quests, and only if they still gave good gold.

Speed alone is what keeps DR as the top choice in the game, don’t delude yourself into thinking otherwise.

I use it all the time. It’s faster and better for questing and dailies. It’s also good for moving around valdrakken.

Aww dont take it personally lol. I was just never too keen on cheat(ing) programs with video games.

Gameshark for gameboy and zelda was different :wink:

I use it and I will always use it over dynamic flying where possible. I don’t care how fast dynamic flying is, I prefer static flight.

Don’t know about anyone else but I use it all the time, especially in the dream. It’s great for the treasures and nodes in the branches. :hear_no_evil::see_no_evil::speak_no_evil:

I use old flying most of the time now.

And dragonriding is just as “no clip” as old flying is.

and if Ion slows DRing down just enough in old content he’ll make sure a list of us wont bother using it at all.
Ive been using old flight on druid quite a bit. With the instant mount/form change, if ive got shorter trips I’ll just use old flight 90% of the time if DRing isnt giving much of a speed advantage on the longer trips I’ll just use a flight path.

I was for DRing because it was VASTLY faster than old flight.
Screw with that and now Im not so interested.

While I primarily still use Dragonriding, I’ve been using Zen Flight a fair amount. It’s great for fiddly bits or water hopping.

I use dragonriding for long-distance speed, regular flying for precision.

Skimming through this thread, it seems I am far from alone in this.

Literally all over the zones. I was doing one of the banner quests on my flying piggy and there were a couple other players on old style mounts.

Then when I was at the world boss in ED, a number of people flew in on old school mounts as we waited for the pull. Other people were on the new mounts but it wasn’t all one or the other.
