Why was there such a loud presence on the forum asking for this when no one in game cares? Do people on the forums even play the game?

I wouldn’t say no one, but its definitely not the majority.
Mostly a handful afk in valdrakken. Oh well, they got what they wanted afk idle flying lol.

I have been using it when it’s more convenient to do so, for short hops while questing or to reach difficult landing spots.
I have seen others using it as well, so I definitely would not say it’s “nobody”.
Oh and it isn’t “no clip”, that is something completely different.

no clip is an old cheatcode in games like quake where you could pass through walls

I use old flying for puddle hopping around inside a zone. If i need to get from one side of the zone to the other though, dragonriding

Except for I dunno every druid that plays the game. Flight form grabbing quest pick up items mid air avoiding everything and not having to remount is chefs kiss
Can legit see 5 druids and myself using it now.

The flying we have in the game is definitely not “no clip”. You’re intentionally trolling.
I use regular flying and dragon riding both. Glad to have both.

Hmm I use my tome mount like in Valdrakken to get from the auction house to the crafting table or flight form on my druid during superblooms, but yeah I don’t usually see it out in the world.
But on the Dragon isles there’s no other reason to use it.
I use old flying exclusively. Dragonriding makes me nauseous.

I’ve also never seen one actively flying with one (e.g. not hovering in valdrakken) but then again I’m not paying much attention to other people.

I wouldn’t be surprised if most of those arguing for old mounts were bot makers/users. I know there are those with disabilities as well of course, but they’ve improved new flying for accessibility.
