See the whole fanboy thing doesn’t really apply. Flip flop that. You’re willing to do the biggest mental gymnastics to defend this bait and switch. Thats being a fanboy. Stop kidding yourself that you’ve making any good points here. You came into this without even looking at the quotes when arrived till somebody linked it to you.
They didn’t say it was receiving zero development, they said they weren’t releasing anymore customization in Shadowlands. Again, taking things and bending it to mean what you want, rather than just taking the answer for what it is. They can be using this time to perfect an abundance of customizations that will release first thing next prepatch and we don’t know it.
Believe it or not, developers are not stapled to the Twitterati and Reddit Dwellers.
This reminds me of South Park’s ‘Make Love, Not Warcraft’, when the developers shamefully admit they have lives when their ‘dedicated’ player base doesn’t.
I think its fair to want more customizations and want them to be updated more frequently. Especially as its a very popular topic with the community. However, I think you’re point is really a stretch. Unless they specifically tell you they are planning on releasing this expansion, its really just your own expectations run wild.
I get it, you’re one of those people who also can’t read. The ONLY people who are upset, are people who took those interviews out of context. Just because you read something incorrectly and base your entire existence on whatever imagination you made in your head becoming a reality. Does not make it correct, sorry!
There is a bit of a problem that a lot of the advanced customization (the fully rendered models) involves private servers which are strictly banned on the official forums.
However, there are megathreads of art and screenshots showing player desire for more customization.
Expectations, sure, but that doesn’t really make people feel better, when those expectations were stoked. Never was it said ‘this is all you get for this expansion’ until now. It’s lawyer-speak, which people dislike even more than just being told flat out ‘no’. Especially when it has to do with what was deemed a selling point for the expansion.
To be fair. WoW’s engine isn’t really exactly 16 years old anymore. Its 100% had updates on a lot of things. Almost nothing in the game works the same way it did 16 years ago.
I read what you said, it was just all wrong. I’m sorry you’re hurt about not receiving imaginary customization that was never promised to you, you’ll be okay little guy. And the fanboy angle didn’t need much attention, considering anytime someone defends blizz they’re called a “fanboy” even though we’re all playing the game… Sorry, that one doesn’t move me!
