Shadowlands was sold as the expansion pack of character customization. We were getting no new classes or races, so we would get customization.
Immediately going back on that is a huge disappointment to the community. It says you are out of touch; and understaffed if this is a priority but you cannot afford the resources. If wow is so profitable, hire more staff to put these cosmetic options in.
There are fans out there creating beautiful art, models and physics for customization.
Players are telling you loudly and clearly what they want but are getting “you think you do, but you don’t” in return.

I got mine so don’t care. People were nuts if they thought the just newly released allied races were getting anything.

They’re making a huge mistake by not focusing on the things the community is asking for.
it’s a good opportunity for other MMO’s though to be on their tail (which is good). Part of the issue is that WoW has this huge following that will just stick around no matter what, so that kills innovation.
in my opinion that’s why they’re focusing on their stupid temporary systems, instead of stuff like old world updates, character customizations, cooler armor/weapons, etc.
story and systems only

It’s one of the biggest disappointments in many years of WoW expectations. If WoW wants to be more than a series of classic era X servers, if it wants a future, it needs to invest in these kinds of basic QoL improvements, things that tons of other MMORPGs, stand-alone RPGs, non-rpgs have and have had for years. It is not acceptable that this isn’t a priority that is getting attention after the years and years of neglect, and after the promises made and the requests persistently made by the community for the devs to do something here.

I like the systems otherwise the gameplay would get boring. They have to constantly reinvent the wheel in order to keep people playing the content

I have seen so many posts all over the internet on reddit, here, blogs with asks on more customization options. When I read that Q&A and they essentially said that they were looking for ideas and to let them know I was dumbfounded. Literally just in awe at how disconnected you have to be.
Do they not read the forums or the subreddit??

that’s fine. i understand that there’s a lot of newer players to the game that enjoy systems, temporary types of things and the “modern” feel that fit the playstyle of transient gamers.
but some of us that have been around since day 1, really miss when the focus was on the player. That’s what other MMO’s are doing, and tbh, it looks like they’re all getting better…with the exception of wow
(no i’m not a hater, i put a lot of time into the game, and i still enjoy it)

All the different communities making entire mockups and models themselves of possible new customization options then blizzard just says “Well we haven’t seen any feedback about customization” lol.

I’m really happy bravely default 2 is coming out next week and monster hunter rise next month. I think we’re going to be in for a long boring patch

The fact they’re doing a complete 180 on customization, after promising more this expansion, has left a really bad taste in my mouth. Not really sure where to go from here. I’m grateful for what we got but I don’t appreciate that they’re just dropping it now.

Pandaren definitely needed more. Also giving draenei bigger tails and nothing for pandaren or worgen as options is pretty frustrating. Tauren and vulpera tails are pretty large already.

Pandaren need to have their actual hair colour separated from the skin color, with the accent streaks as an addition. It’s not like we have wild options anyway, I just want to have black hair and red skin.
