All the work they put into these models to separate different elements of our faces and add little new features makes me think it is probably easier than ever to create a new look for our models now. It’s rather shocking that we may not see anything for a long time after all that effort they put into it.
But also on that note I have found some of the new hairstyles really do not work with our models well and I have had a ton of clipping issues that make what we got feel unfinished in a way too. The new shaggy night elf hair when you cast reveals your bald head through the back of it. The dwarves new long ponytail clips through everything. The new face I like on humans is locked to skin tone.

The new stuff looks great but I don’t think it’s as much as they made it out to be.

Yeah it seems like there’s been some oversights when it comes to some of the customization options. We have no certainty now they’ll even refine what they’ve already worked on. It’s just …being abandoned, currently.

This is the exact problem, new races or old races, it should all be properly taken care.
The lvl of barebones people are used to in any new patch is absurd, blizzard is barely putting any effort. Allied races and their respective armors were a breath of fresh air to 11 years of laziness, but then again if they dont sell us juice which is just a fruit inside a water barrel, their ceos cant make absurd money with barely any effort.
They could make this game 200% better, they just choose not to do it.

Ok I don’t normally bring back old(ish) topics, but I went through the Suramar story the other day for the first time in awhile and got the itch to play nightborne again. And holy sh*, you guys, they need some work BAD. I knew this already but I’d never really looked at them. Look at their hairstyles.

That is absolutely abysmal. They literally aren’t even finished, it looks like they forgot to stick a texture layer on there entirely. How can they not fix this and then turn around and say “yeah we did a good job”??? This shouldn’t even be in the game.

Seriously. That’s what it reminds me of, the old old models from years ago. It’s ridiculous that those even passed the QA testers, assuming those even exist. Where’s the “Blizzard polish”?
My brother (new player) said the other day that he wants to unlock the nightborne to play one on an alt but I bet when I show him this, he’ll change his mind. He already picked NE over BE when he made a demon hunter just because he thought the BEs didn’t have enough options. Pretty sure he’ll see this and say “nah nevermind, that’s not even worth it”.

Those are fantastic. I love the hairs and beards and such on the dudes. Skeletal options are something that I’ve seen asked for a lot. Playing a full skeleton would be cool.
It’s sad we don’t get these. She’s been putting out some fantastic mockups.
It’d also be neat to have some more mixed options for the face…skin but have above the nose and below all skeletal…

Yeah I’m out. There’s no many visual bugs in this game that I canceled. My last straw we’re the void elf hairstyles lacking any hair on the scalp which blood elves to not suffer from. I am not paying to faction change for the art teams lack of detail on character models. Like have some pride in your work guys.

Not really. I knew all along we wouldn’t be getting more customizations in 9.1. It was pretty clear
It’s not just 9.1, it’s for the entire expansion that we won’t get more customizations.

Gimme a spiked collar please. Expansions feels lazy honestly. Made with minimal effort… “Don’t spend any money on the development guys. Just create enough to rope people in. Nothing more.”
I’ll just add my voice here as well. I should repost the thing I made a thread for at some point in this one. Basically, Blizzard is completely out of touch with what their community actually wants and focuses near completely on high end content to the detriment of the greater part of their player base.

I’m not saying they don’t do exactly that, but rather even that they don’t do very well. M+, pvp and class balance / bugs are a joke right now.
Something is seriously going wrong at blizzard. Quality for everything is in an absolute tailspin.

My own theory is that rather than reinvesting profits in improving the game it’s all being siphoned for ‘other projects’ at Activision. How hard would it be to hire an additional artist or two for work on class tier sets, additional customization, etc.? M+ is great in concept but outside of this half-baked Valor thing they’ve not done nearly as much with it as they could have. It just feels like they’re still focusing everything they have on making sure raiding is epic, and even that can be a miss. Meanwhile, a lot of their more casual player base gets…surprisingly little content.

It was just lying to get people to buy SL. Like this latest patch the reward was suppose 500 instead the quest is 250 I believe. Blizzard have lied this whole Xpac made promises to people knowing that’s what they wanted and didn’t deliver once they got the subs. That’s how I see it.

Raiding isn’t going to be very epic when the new raid doesn’t release until September. Don’t think they can keep raiding guilds interested until then.
Yeah that’s pretty accurate considering the some workers came in on days off to work on the new race models making sure all is good at launch. I will admit Shadowlands launch was actually good, but still falls on Blizzard’s motto on what you just said.
