No. In interviews we were promised updates throughout shadowlands. There are some races that got 0 updates. That is not delivering the full product promised.

you know theres an expansion coming after this one right? you want new zones and race concepts to be designed or what? lets pull back the team and work on hair cuts
There’s not enough giant beard options for all of the races. It’s like they hate facial hair on men and it is stupid because there’s all kinds of female hairstyles and options

Artists, quest designers, mechanics designers, and coders are not the same team. Having a team dedicated to character customization will in no way affect the people who work on gameplay mechanics unless (and let’s be real here; this is what the biggest problem would be) Blizzard’s corporate structure/resource allocation decided that a company worth tens of billions of dollars can’t afford their employees and somehow manufactures a reason to decide they can only pay either an artist or a mechanics designer and have to fire the others.
And if that’s what the problem is, that’s on corporate penny pinchers, not the dev team.

I didn’t realize WoW was an Indie MMO with not enough development resources to add in new hair colors AND work on races that are not coming out for…two years?
Also imagine saying this as an argument when Nightborne were released fully w 3 skin colors 
How many resources did that take?

I just wish Blizz would stop trying to make these new systems that aren’t really that interesting… “Yaaaay… conduits and covie powers… whoopidy f-ing doo. They’re just going to go away next xpac anyway.” how about instead of that, maybe… idk… go back to the older style talent tree but refurbish it for retail version? Literally just building up systems that become irrelevant in like 2 years, it makes no sense when they could put effort into systems that could last the game’s lifespan like idk… ACTUAL PLAYER HOUSING like every other MMO has. Lots of frustration with stuff like that not being implemented lol

Lmao we are barely four months into this expansion and folks have given up on it.
A new expansion is 2 years away, maybe more dud to covid delays. I would like what was promised to me in THIS expansion to be delivered.

So here is the thing, planning to do something is different then being able to do something. Sharing their plans for the future and having to change their plans is not the same thing as not delivering the sold product. They are telling you now, no customization will be coming in the next patch, so you can now make an informed decision about if you want to stay subbed or not. For me personally it was something I expected since the moment shadowlands was delayed, so it changes nothing for me.
You should worry a lot less about customization and a lot more about this next patch being delivered only in September…

Well you don’t have to be subbed to reach to them with feedback - reddit is a good place for that and kinda tweeter.
But to make it clear I don’t blame people that are u subbing, I really understand them and I am with them. I just believe that since we were all invested in this game and obviously want for it to be good we should still send them our demands.
Certain people on here tend to be psycho, especially when customization is mentioned. It’s kinda scary but I try to just ignore them like when little kids are screaming in the back of a car and you just turn the music up louder. I think Velves getting normal skin tones permanently broke their AI…
I. KNOW. I want core systems and updates that will be lasting QoL improvements throughout multiple expansions. Any tbh Shadowlands isn’t even that fun gameplay wise right now, and certainly doesn’t feel alt-friendy like they promised. Idk, I just had high expectations for this expansion and made my friends get back into WoW to play with me but now I’m already not playing anymore…

How about you dont tell people what they enjoy most about the game? I’m not a mythic raider, I haven’t run out of content to do.
And your statement is inaccurate. They said no new customization for the rest of shadowlands. This is a broken promise.
It takes so very few resources to add an eye colour or race hair swap. It can be done in minutes on a lunch break. This is not what is holding up your precious content patch. The awful systems are.

I get it, I do, but realistically Blizz has only cared about money and it’s been that way for awhile now. Unless it effects the bottom line, they won’t listen to our demands. They only cave whenever they need an economic boost. “Oh look shiney sparkly limited customization options, but this xpac with very tedious content for $60 and keep paying your $15 a month”
@Isveria I agree, there are quite a few psychos on here and a bunch of people who just love to see their own posts. Blizz totally needs to add content that spans multiple xpacs, not just lasting one and done. I was trying to convince friends to play it because I had high hopes for it, but now I regret trying to get others on board this crazy train.
Thank you! I wish the devs would understand that content like cosmetics, and player customizations are the life blood of many MMOs nowadays. It’s the type of content that last the entire life cycle of a game. Instead they seem fixated on creating boring systems that no one asked for that will just be irrelevant again in two years. The fact that we still don’t have QOL features that every other MMO has had forever now is beyond idiotic. I’ve wanted player housing for so long.

Speakin’ FACTS. I myself can edit in different eye colors in minutes. I guarantee you I could have 10 different eye colors in about 5-10 min tops. All it involves is just editing the texture colors that are already there, it’s not hard to do that. The textures and models are in place, all they gotta do is basically spray paint some designs on em and wallah, new eye colors, same goes for hair colors and fur colors for the furred races.
Anyone that has ever edited a model’s texture colors knows how easy it actually is to do.
